If Mike Pence gets booed at a convention of church-goers, there must not be any safe, friendly venues where he can speechify.
I am no fan of Mike Pence but the angry response he received at the Faith & Freedom Coalition conference in Florida on Friday was rather unseemly. He faithfully fulfilled his constitutional duty, is ushered to safety ahead of an angry mob and he gets nothing but grief for his trouble...especially from his former running-mate, Donald Trump.
I have been disabused of my naive notion that religious people are polite and respectful.
The Indianapolis Star reported that former Vice President Mike Pence was greeted with boos and cries of "traitor!" while speaking at the conference.
According to the Star, the dissatisfaction of some conference attendees likely comes from Pence's refusal to block the Congress' certification of President Joe Biden's electoral win on Jan. 6.
