FOX News personality Greg Gutfeld is complaining about the unflattering news coverage of Donald Trump. Media star Gutfeld said, "the [news] media is the only industry designed to lie."
I disagree with Gutfeld that the media lies about Trump to make him look bad. The media tells truth to make Trump look bad. Reporters (and late night comedians) simply showed his tweets, quoted him verbatim and ran a video tapes of him speaking.
According to Gutfeld the news media reported, "Trump recommending injecting bleach into your veins to beat COVID. All lies were reported as facts."
To be fair, Trump didn't specify bleach, he suggested disinfectants. He also didn't specify how or where it would be injected. Here is what he asked his COVID adviser. Also see video below.
"And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful."
Apparently oblivious to who had offices in the Trump White House, the pro-Trump pundit Gutfeld whined, "It’s a big pastime. Focusing on a man in a MAGA hat reduces the chances of hitting Joe Biden’s corrupt nepotism."
