Whoever opines that the January 6th hearings backfired didn't read the corporate memo. Just two days after the hearings focused on Trump's despicable behavior for three hours on January 6th, one of his former biggest boosters turns on him. That's not a coincidence. --CA

Murdoch's New York Post dumps Trump, calling him "unworthy to be chief executive again"
New York (CNN)One of Donald Trump's favorite newspapers — controlled by his media ally Rupert Murdoch — says Trump is "unworthy to be this country's chief executive again."

Those words, in this weekend's New York Post, may be the tabloid's strongest critique of Trump yet.

It was published online on Friday evening, around the same time another Murdoch publication, the Wall Street Journal, also published an editorial harshly critiquing the former president.

The Journal called him "The President Who Stood Still on Jan. 6" and praised Vice President Mike Pence. "Character is revealed in a crisis, and Mr. Pence passed his Jan. 6 trial. Mr. Trump utterly failed his," the Journal editorial stated.

Both newspapers have been noticeably more critical of Trump than Murdoch's biggest megaphone of all, the Fox News Channel, though close viewers have also picked up on some signs that Fox might be souring on Trump.

    And then there's this reply from Garland in response to questions about what is happening in the DOJ investigation;

Attorney General Merrick Garland on January 6th investigation: "We do not do our investigations in public. This is the most wide-ranging investigation and the most important investigation that the Justice Department has ever entered into...We have to get this right."

The steadfast fans of Trump who truly believe he is going to run again and could win are rapidly diminishing.

I think the best is yet to come.👍

    Curt and isle,

I read the POST'S editorial. It was pointed and remarkably brief.

As I read it, I was asking myself, if Trump is the GOP nominee, is the POST going to endorse President Clouseau, or Kammy, or Mayor Pete.

No one knows Trump's depravity more intimately than Bill Barr. Barr's definite and unabashed. If Trump's the nominee, he votes for Trump.

Trump's despicable. But, compared to your side?

The steadfast fans of Trump who truly believe he is going to run again and could win are rapidly diminishing.

pb watched Trump's speech last night. He was Churchillian. The mob went crazy.

pb repeats: The way the GOP primaries are set up, Trump has to be favored to be the nominee.

If he's nominated, the POST endorses him and he wins.

The Post won't be endorsing Trump in any primary or general election. That is not to say they will be endorsing a Democrat either. They simply won't endorse.

Hopefully, we'll never know, but pb predicts, if Trump is the nominee, the POST says that he's flawed but four more years of an eratic economy, woke energy policy, open borders and outrageous crime are too much for America to face. We endorse Trump.
