pb makes his first prediction on the 024 election:
Abolishing, or seriously reimagining the Department of Education will be a Top Five issue in the race for the presidency and control of Congress in 024.
My earliest memory of a call to abolish the DOE goes back to Reagan. That was back in pb's Dem days when he even voted for Walter Mondale!
Back in the day, pb thought the suggestion was ludicrous. Now? It's obvious common sense.
So, take it to the bank. Education reform, centered in the call to free students and parents from the tyranny of education regulated by DC bureaucrats, will be central to GOP outreach to moderate and independent voters in 024...
...AND...some time after Labor Day, Kevin McCarthy and his House leadership gang are going to announce what they're calling the "Commitment to America." Expect Education reform to be one of the bullet points.
