‘It’s almost like this is Dr Strangelove [when President Merkin Muffley] is saying there is no fighting in the war room. It was just a bizarre moment’

Fox News legal analyst Jonathan Turley said that the seventh hearing of the January 6 committee was “breathtaking”.

Mr Turley shared his sense of shock at the revelations concerning former President Donald Trump and his December 18 2020 meeting at the White House discussing how to overturn the election with his allies.

“It’s ... damaging,” Mr Turley said in reaction to the pre-recorded deposition with Trump White House Counsel Pat Cipollone. “The account of that meeting in the [Oval] Office is really breathtaking. It’s very disturbing.”

I'm calling BS, there, Curt. I watched the 30 SECOND video.

I follow Turley on Twitter. He does, I'd guess conservatively, a dozen tweets a day. He didn't post a single tweet about that hearing.

And, the article clearly misrepresents what Turley said in the video.

The meeting that Cipollone described is disturbing. Turley said that ABOUT THE MEETING. But, damaging to Trump? He doesn't say that.

From the time Trump was elected, I've said that Trump is despicable. He's bad enough that you don't have to lie about him.

Why do you do that, Curt? Your post is, at the absolute best, unfair to Turley and to Trump. More reasonably, it's deceptive! At worst, it's an outright lie!

"C'mon Jack! Read the polls." Why do you TDSers lie!!!!!?

O.J. Simpson was found "not guilty" of murdering Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman because the prosecuting attorneys couldn't prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Sometimes justice is served and sometimes it isn't. Sometimes murderers get away with murder, and sometimes innocent people are executed for murder.

I hope our democratic republic doesn't die because justice wasn't served.

    HtS,
First off, where does the article or do I say it's "damaging to Trump"? So explain your statement, "He's bad enough that you don't have to lie about him."

Secondly, in your opinion when Turley said "damaging" to what or to whom was he referring? Maybe you think Turley meant it damaged the reputations of the crazy Kraken lady, Rudy "Four Seasons" Giuliani or disgraced Gen. Flynn or maybe it was that the White House furniture or carpeting was damaged.

(Hill Reporter)How Fox News covers Trump remains to be seen. But on Friday, the network's legal expert Jonathan Turley blamed Trump for the recent appointment of a Special Counsel to look into the former President's misdeeds.

Turley told viewers, "This was a self-inflicted wound, and it could be potentially charged, and so I think that’s where most of us will be looking in terms of the special counsel, but Garland may give us a better idea of the scope of this investigation."
