LONDON — The British parliament has convened for an emergency session to investigate the events of July 4th, 1776 in the colonies across the Atlantic. Sources indicate an illegal insurrection took place there that cost many lives.

"Blimey! These cheeky colonists are quite literally — and I'm LITERALLY not exaggerating here — an existential threat to democracy!" said MP Peasley Peckinposh III to a chorus of "hear hears."

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has directed the House of Commons and the House of Lords to form a committee that will hold televised hearings on the matter every night for at least 100 fortnights. "We have to get to the bottom of this, and find out what these dodgy Americans are up to," he said.

The commission is already prepared to read the 250-year-old testimony of an American defector who claims George Washington grabbed the reigns of his horse and assaulted him on his way to Independence Hall in Philadelphia.

Yeah, Donna, I know.

The Bee-rated humorists let their analogy go off the rails. From the British point of view the colonial rebels, especially Washington, were traitors.

    Curt,

The reason I linked to this BEE article is that it represents what the right thinks about the J6 derangement that afflicts the woke crowd.

    Bottom line:

Joe's election was confirmed by Congress, under the provisions of the Electoral Count Act, on the scheduled day.
Joe was inaugurated, peacefully, as he was supposed to be.
GOPs, and even virtually every MAGA, denounced the Capitol riot as it was taking place.
Trump was impeached by the House with modest GOP support.
People who participated in the riot have been prosecuted, convicted and punished...
...Still, you TDSers can't let it go and, now, you've created the J6 Committee which few, beyond MSNBC and CNN fans watch, oh yeah, and Gutfeld to find material for his opening monolog.

The BEE'S article expresses what most of America thinks about your obsession. We're smirking.

I'm hoping that whenthe dims lose the house, we finally have a committee worth their wild. Teason on the part of pedojoe working in conjunction with the Chinese and Russians. Taking bribes on behalf of both of them, and following through on those bribes by looking the other way while they flourish. They can start with a conspiracy to funnel, layer, and structure millions of dollars for the Russian oligarchy. This is well worth a RICO trial and is what the statute is made for.

I must admit that I haven't followed the news about Hunter's laptop closely but I understand that there's a mountain of stuff on Russia and China, that there is corroborating evidence and much that it links Joe to Hunter's misdeeds.

Why haven't there been indictments? The most obvious explanation is that the same President who weaponized the Justice Department and the FBI against parents who attend school board meetings and won't enforce federal law prohibiting the harassment of Republican appointed federal judges in their homes is preventing action against the President’s son.

So, what will the House GOPs do? Apparently, they'll have no choice but to politicize Hunter's fiasco and investigate. It would be far better for the nation for the Justice Department to indict Hunter for his crimes and take a plea that would spare his dad from criminal charges.

And since pedojoe was the "Godfather" of the whole thing, it's a great RICO case. I'm hoping they take their money like they did the millions of dollars from Guzman. Maybe we can balance the budget pedojoe left us.
