Just finished watching today's hearing!

Each one of these hearings becomes more and more powerful.

It is really frightening how close we actually came to the destruction of our democracy !!!

    The witnesses today Jeffrey rosen, Donahue and Engel are all Republicans. But they respect the Constitution and their oath of office. Can you imagine what kind of people Trump would appoint in a second term? He would be sure to find loyalists without a shred of integrity or principles.

    Also it was quite the bombshell when they listed the Republican Congress people who sought pardons from Trump. There was Matt Gaetz, Louie Gohmert, Andy Biggs and others. As Representative Adam Kinzinger said the only reason to ask for a pardon is because you think you were guilty of a crime.

    Also do you read that Jeffrey Clark had his house searched by federal investigators this morning?

    Merrick Garland has unleashed the FBI on parents who express anger at school board meetings.

    I'd try to cover my @$$ if I had stood up for election integrity, too.

    What possible crime could a person be charged with for standing up for election integrity? And why would these Republican Congress members think they would need a legal shield against prosecution and possible conviction?

    These silly televised hearings are supernumerary to the actual investigation. My guess is that Trump's congressional allies were concerned that they'd be persecuted for their efforts to demonstrate that fraud was involved in Biden’s victory.

    To date, they have not been.

    Yes, I did hear that Curt. And of course I fully understand why. Sometimes we forget that the Justice Department is also carefully and methodically carrying out their own investigation. And I think the best is yet to come.

    This is all adding to my confidence that Trump and his cohorts really can and will be held accountable for their crimes. A year ago i wouldn't have thought that possible!

    I feel very optimistic tonight !!! 👍

    A couple of days ago the FBI raided the homes of 6 or 7 Republican lawmakers that are being implicated in the attempted overthrow of the 2020 election and ensuing insurrection. Did you hear about that, Hate?

    And yes, of course if Merrick Garland issued a memo directing the FBI to follow up on threats against school employees, then the FBI will follow that order. Why would anyone think otherwise?

    The FBI? Splain to me how moms and dads getting testy with school board members is a FEDERAL issue. Certainly, if parents commit crimes, they should be held to account. No doubt.

    Violent threats.

    The order was issued last October. You can read about it in the article below.

    Republicans are objecting to it because apparently they don't think that anything should be done about violent threats against teachers and school administrators.

    I had no idea that was a thing. Paranoia and extremism are spiraling out of control in America.

    I just had a long FB debate a couple of days ago with our niece who has become sort of word police. Every couple of days she post new rules about which words are permitted and which words aren't. She's woke2.

    Finally I asked her if we're still allowed to call someone "nuts". I think I pissed her off. She hasn't been on FB since I posted that
