GOP Senator Caught Faking Phone Call On TV
Jun 22, 2022 GOP Senator Ron Johnson is embroiled in a new scandal after text messages released by the Jan. 6 committee showed Johnson pushing Donald Trump’s elector fraud plot on the Senate floor on January 6. When reporters pressed Johnson on his involvement, he pretended to take a phone call to avoid answering any questions. This report by MSNBC’s Ari Melber, and the reporters who were on the scene, fact-check Johnson’s statements.

Reporters could see that Johnson's smartphone screen was dark and not in conversation mode.

    Caught red-handed. LOL! What a dumb-ass.

Donna, aren't all the Trump enablers dumbasses?

These are people who stuck their neck out for Trump. Now they find themselves facing huge legal bills, being the defendants in lawsuits, being disbarred, losing their jobs, being subject to search warrants and being publicly humiliated.

These people are learning the hard way that when it comes to loyalty with Trump it's a one-way street.

Yes, they are. But Sen. Ron Johnson (Q-WI) is a dumb-ass2.

I don't understand how anyone could let themselves get get caught up schemes like that.

    Speaking of dumb-asses...

Donald Trump's reaction to today's hearings:

The only thing not discussed by the Unselects, in any way, shape, or form, is the irrefutable evidence of massive and totally pervasive ELECTION FRAUD & IRREGULARITIES which took place during the 2020 Presidential Election. They refuse to go there, they want it all CANCELED, because it would be IMPOSSIBLE for the Unselect committee to refute or challenge that which would be put before them, or the American Public. To the Unselects I ask, LET US PUT ON THE EVIDENCE, STATE BY STATE - AND NOW!"

He means the EVIDENCE that didn't cut the mustard in 63 cases his team presented to the courts.

    LOL!!!!

Right, Donna. How often does that guy need to have it explained and proven to him?

And HtS thinks Biden is the one with dementia.

Dementia or early dementia might also explain Trump cultists and apologists. Something is definitely goinf on, because they all have a problem thinking and processing information.

Ron Johnson now says he helped coordinate effort to pass false elector slates to Pence, but his new explanation drew a quick rebuke
Johnson initially told reporters this week he did not know where the [fake presidential elector] documents came from and that his staff sought to forward it to Pence.

But he said in a Thursday interview on WIBA-AM that he had since discovered the documents came from Pennsylvania U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly, and acknowledged he coordinated with Dane County attorney Jim Troupis and his chief of staff by text message that morning to get to Pence a document Troupis described as regarding "Wisconsin electors."

Kelly's office immediately pushed back on Johnson's claim, saying: "Senator Johnson's statements about Representative Kelly are patently false."

"Mr. Kelly has not spoken to Sen. Johnson for the better part of a decade, and he has no knowledge of the claims Mr. Johnson is making related to the 2020 election."
