Contrary to previously posted comments, it does NOT look like Hillary is in a whole heap of trouble.

(NY Times) WASHINGTON — Michael Sussmann, a prominent cybersecurity lawyer with ties to Democrats, was acquitted on Tuesday of a felony charge that he lied to the F.B.I. about having no client in 2016 when he shared a tip about possible connections between Donald J. Trump and Russia.

The verdict was a blow to the special counsel, John H. Durham, who was appointed by the Trump administration three years ago to scour the Trump-Russia investigation for any wrongdoing.

What? According to the Blue MAGA SwampMedia, this trial wasn't even happening.

As you can imagine, the trial was mentioned on the right. This verdict was expected.

Durham doesn't have much to show for his three years of prosecution. One CNN legal analyst said that prosecutors in such circumstances have 95% conviction rate. So that Sussmann was acquitted is a "rebuke" of Durham and his case.

In the SelectSmart.com link below I asked HtS, "I know it's fool's errand to try elicit an honest response from you, but I'll try a second time: What crime do you think Hillary committed in giving a reporter a story about Trump that she wasn't totally confident about?"

The New York Times in the article below reported, "Mr. Durham and his trial team used court filings and trial testimony to detail how Mr. Sussmann, while working for a Democratic-linked law firm and logging his time to the Clinton campaign, had been trying to get reporters to write about the Alfa Bank suspicions. But trying to persuade reporters to write about such suspicions is not a crime."

Word on the street, is that Durham is dogged.

And, check it out, I described Hillary's crime...if the testimony in Sussmann's trial is reliable.

But, as I've said many times, I don't really know because I ain't an attorney.

You, however, seem to think that you do know but, unlike you, I don't practice know-it-allism.

There is no case to be made for a "Hillary crime", at least Durham didn't make one. The jury decided it wasn't a crime.

(WaPo)"The verdict, coming after less than a full day of deliberations spread over parts of Friday and Tuesday, was not a close call or a hard decision, two jurors told The Washington Post.

“Personally, I don’t think it should have been prosecuted,” [the jury forewoman said], saying the government “could have spent our time more wisely.” A second juror told The Post that in the jury room, “everyone pretty much saw it the same way.”

We all know that Durham is dogged. He's been at it for three years. His final time at bat is next fall in a case against Igor Danchenko who didn't work for nor was connected to Hillary Clinton.
