"I’m running for governor because I know that we have to have a conversation about who we are in this state and what we want for each other and from each other," Abrams said during a speech at the Gwinnett Democrats' Bluetopia Gala in Norcross, according to audio posted by the Gwinnett Daily Post.

"I am tired of hearing about how we’re the best state in the country to do business when we are the worst state in the country to live," she said.

When I put this together, the video in the linked article didn't work and I couldn't find it anywhere else. And, I'm sure they're not covering this on MSNBC.

This is a Hillary, "basket of deplorables" moment. It was recorded from someone's phone. It was not for public consumption. It's what Blue MAGA Swampcult progressives say when they think the unwashed can't hear.

It itself is deplorable.

I'll keep looking for the video.

    You can tell, from the quality of the audio that it's from someone's phone.

    How many $millions of ads will feature those words between now and November?

    So you're opposed to criticizing a beast from its belly? I think that's the most effective way. In fact that's exactly what those few good Catholic and Southern Baptist men did.

    It is standard operating procedure for non-incumbent candidates for office to say things are not as good as they could be. Trump campaigned on the slogan make America great again with the obvious implication that America was not great. If the challenging candidate were to say everything is hunky-dory here then why should voters change from the incumbent?

    Certainly, if you're campaigning against the sitting government, you attack the record of the current administration but not the nation, or in this case, state, you hope to lead. You don't trash the people whose votes you seek.

    Abrams isn't saying this on the campaign trail. She's only saying it among other Blue MAGA Swampcultists.

    Someone exposed the comment. Someone told a dangerous truth.

    This was not for public consumption. This will hurt Abrams seriously.

    Just curious. Is the Blue MAGA SwampMedia even reporting this? Stacey Abrams is their darlin.

    You, like Republicans generally, are hypocritical and have a double standard..

    Trump was clearly critical of America with his make America great again slogan. In his inaugural address he spoke about "American Carnage".

    Stacy Abrams was campaigning in Gwinnett county in front of democratic activists and donors. For her to say that living conditions in Georgia are not optimal is not a criticism of the citizens.

    Make America Great Again was as successful a marketing slogan as there has ever been.

    It was...IS...ingenious! It's all about American greatness in the past and in the future. It is not, in any way, critical of America.

    Stacey Abrams made the worst mistake a Blue MAGA Swampcult candidate can make. She spoke her truth out loud. She made the mistake of assuming that no one would serve the people as a whistle-blower. And, she was busted.

    Those words will become a curse she has spoken against herself.

    For her to say that living conditions in Georgia are not optimal is not a criticism of the citizens.

    It's human nature to, "root, root, root for the home team." Abrams trashed the state. Absolute political idiocy.

    I don't think that you Blue MAGAs get that but it's true.

    I'm not suggesting that the gathering was clandestine.

    I'm saying that this was not a typical campaign stop speech. Abrams thought she could be honest about what Blue MAGAs believe in that setting and said something that Blue MAGAs in Georgia generally believe but she'd never say among undecided voters on the stump.

    One person in her audience was not a Blue MAGA Swampcultist. That person busted her.

    (My guess is that it was a man there on a date with a hot progressive babe, hoping that, if he pretends to be a lib well, you know.)
