Looks like Hillary is in a whole heap of trouble.

I've seen this story from numerous right wing sources but when I saw this featured on my local CBS affiliate, I knew too big to ignore.

I'm stunned. The Clintons are filthy crooks but too clever to be caught.

WASHINGTON (TND) — Hillary Clinton authorized her campaign to share materials with the media alleging Donald Trump’s team was secretly communicating with Kremlin-linked Alfa Bank, despite members of her campaign not being "totally confident" the information was accurate, according to witness testimony from former Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook.

The Trump-Alfa Bank accusations have been knocked as baseless, with Former FBI General Counsel James Baker indicating the Bureau had investigated them but found “there was nothing there,"

And, still, she lost big time in the Electoral College.

    HtS,
What criminal statute do you think was violated? If there were one, Trump would have been guilty of it repeatedly.

It is not a crime to give a story of potential wrongdoing by a political opponent to a reporter. It would be the responsibility of the reporter to verify the story and to publish it or not.

Do you think Trump was "totally confident" that Ted Cruz's father was involved in the assassination of JFK? Or any of the other spurious accusations Trump has made about political opponents?

"Looks like Hillary is in a whole heap of trouble."

    Billferner!

No it doesn't. It doesn't look like that at all.

The Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday released the final report on its investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, finding numerous contacts between the Trump campaign and Moscow posed a "grave" counterintelligence threat.

"We found irrefutable evidence of Russian meddling," Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., acting chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said in a statement, directly refuting President Donald Trump's repeated assertions that Russian interference was a "hoax" perpetrated by Democrats.

The bipartisan congressional report closes the panel's three-year probe into the Kremlin-led operation to influence and interfere in the 2016 presidential election.

The Senate committee did not "positively determine" there was Trump-Russian collusion but it certainly did not exonerate Trump.

SELECT COMMITTEE ON INTELLIGENCE UNITED STATES SENATE ON RUSSIAN ACTIVE MEASURES CAMPAIGNS AND INTERFERENCE IN THE 2016 U.S. ELECTION
“Based on the FBI’s assessment, the Committee did not find the DNS activity reflected the existence of covert communication between Alfa Bank and Trump Organization personnel. However, the Committee also could not positively determine an intent or purpose that would explain the unusual activity.”

    Curt,

This is an actual criminal effin trial...in a court room...with someone in a black robe sitting in the front of the room.

In truth, do I think that Hillary is going up the river? No. But, when Durham's finished, what remains of her political credibility will be shot...not with you, of course...that goes without saying.

Frankly, I'm stunned that Hillary was so sloppy that she would be identified, by name, as being a part of the crime in the FIRST trial in the series.

Much more will be exposed by the time the story's told.

    But, please, keep the faith.

    HtS,
I know it's fool's errand to try elicit an honest response from you, but I'll try a second time: What crime do you think Hillary committed in giving a reporter a story about Trump that she wasn't totally confident about?

Other than Trump cultists who think it's heresy to cast aspersion on the Orange One, I can't imagine anybody thinking it was untoward behavior to what we've all been told to do, namely, "if you see something, say something".

    Curt,

What I know is that a Special Prosecutor has been appointed. The first, apparently of at least several, trials are now under way.

AND THE PROSECUTOR HAS ALREADY ELICITED TESTIMONY THAT MENTIONS HILLARY AS A PERSON INVOLVED IN THE effin CRIME BEING CHARGED.

Curt, I don't even know the crime that Susman is being charged with.

I am not a lawyer. I have no idea what a prosector might nail Hillary for. But, obviously, he's already succeeded in connecting her to some crime at least tangentially.

Thing is, Curt, as far as I know, you're not a lawyer either so for you to initiate a dialog between the two of us over what Hillary could be charged with is idiotic.

To quote Mona Lisa Vito, it's a bull$hit question.

Real life, though, Hillary's name is already on the record.

Your Hillary glass may actually not be half full.

    HtS,
You were the one who said, "Looks like Hillary is in a whole heap of trouble."

If you didn't mean legal trouble, what did you mean?

I don't have to be a lawyer to know what is and isn't a crime. Neither do you. As law abiding citizens we are obliged to know what's legal and illegal.

Anyway your headline is misworded. It should read, "Hillary approved sharing unverified Trump-Russia claims with press, campaign manager says"

You can read about the Durham investigation at the link below. I think the investigation has been a bust. If you can find anything earth shattering that he's uncovered, feel free to cite it.

    Curt,

    As I ALREADY noted...to you:

In truth, do I think that Hillary is going up the river? No. But, when Durham's finished, what remains of her political credibility will be shot...not with you, of course...that goes without saying.

I guffaw at you TDSers when you get your hopes up that OrangeMan is going to end up in the klink. Orangey is too big. Rich people like him don't go to jail.

And, Hillary's puuuuuuure Swamp. She's in less danger of jail than OrangeMan.

But, in the end, when this is all over, only you and about half a dozen percent of Americans will still take her seriously.

    Dang!

I wish I could believe in anyone as blindly as you do. Besides my wife, I don't believe in any person in the way you do with Hillary and the Doddering Old Fool.

BTW, since I said that I have no idea what she'd be charged with, I watched last night's Hannity on YouTube. Sean took the night off, so I could stomach it. According to the Fox chief legal expert, Hillary denied that she had any knowledge of this whole thing. If the testimony in court yesterday is true, and she said that to any type of federal employee, she committed a crime just in that. I know. I read John Grisham and David Baldacci novels.

    Bahahahahahahahahahaha!
