So, if any of this happens, will you Blue MAGA progressives Swampcultists call it an insurrection? Bahahahahahahahahahaha.

I'm guessin not.

The threats were outlined in an intelligence bulletin the DHS issued to state and local law enforcement agencies nationwide. The memo, titled "Potential for Threats to Public Safety in Response to Abortion Debate" and dated May 13, was published by DHS' Office of Intelligence and Analysis.

"According to the bulletin, some of the social media threats discussed 'burning down or storming the U.S. Supreme Court and murdering Justices and their clerks, members of Congress, and lawful demonstrators.'"

If carried out, that would be an insurrection. Not sure why you would think we wouldn't call it what it was. Perhaps you're projecting.

  2. by HatetheSwamp on May 19, 2022 12:39 pm

It's been my experience that many Blue MAGA Swampcultists have a double standard when Trump and/or his supporters are involved.

    Not you so much.

  3. by Donna on May 19, 2022 12:42 pm
I would think that Curt and islander would agree with me.

  4. by Donna on May 19, 2022 12:45 pm
I would think that most Democrats, liberals, and progressives would agree with me.

I think you're falling into the media-set trap like many on the left who like to believe that most people on the other side endorse political violence.

  5. by HatetheSwamp on May 19, 2022 12:57 pm

People on the right have been critical of the administration's tepid response to the Blue MAGA response to the leaked opinion...demonstrations at the homes of Justices the threat of a summer of rage.

Hopefully nothing insurrection like happens but I'll see it when I believe it.

"Hopefully nothing insurrection like happens but I'll see it when I believe it." - Hts

"I'll see it when I believe it". Hmm. I generally don't believe unless either I see, or there's evidence for it.

"It's been my experience that many Blue MAGA Swampcultists have a double standard when Trump and/or his supporters are involved."

    That cuts both ways, right?

  7. by HatetheSwamp on May 19, 2022 1:20 pm

    That cuts both ways, right?

    Actually, I disagree.

Remember that, on January 6, even on-air people at Fox, even effin Sean Hannity, were calling and texting Trump telling him to get out in front of the cameras to denounce the Capitol riot asap. I was surprised and heartened to hear of their outcry.

I'm not seeing that from the good people at CNN and MSNBC as Supreme Court Justices are threatened and pro-life pregnancy centers are firebombed.

You didn't hear their outcry on January 6th. FOX on-air personalities were not publicly calling for Trump to denounce the insurrectionists. They were mum on TV. You only learned of Hannity's attempt to influence Trump when it was later revealed by journalists well after the fact.

  9. by Donna on May 19, 2022 1:35 pm
    Exactly Curt.

"...and pro-life pregnancy centers are firebombed."

I must have missed that. When were pro-life pregnancy centers firebombed?

  10. by HatetheSwamp on May 20, 2022 6:59 am

    Exactly!

I don't know how you inform yourself but clearly you do don't consult a wide range of ideological sources.

It was huuuuuuuuuge news on outlets that are not the equivalent of Biden’s Pravda.

If anyone here posts with integrity, it's you. But, "C'mon man. Gimme a break." If you don't seek truth, your posting will lack integrity because all you're doing is feeding on woke propaganda.

"It was huuuuuuuuuge news on outlets that are not the equivalent of Biden’s Pravda."

    Which outlets?

  12. by HatetheSwamp on May 20, 2022 7:16 am

Each and every outlet that didn't report the violent attacks.

  13. by Donna on May 20, 2022 7:17 am
    Which ones?

  14. by HatetheSwamp on May 20, 2022 7:30 am

    Donna,

    Don't be obtuse.

The SwampMedia is vast. It includes thousands of print, broadcast, social media and internet outlets. Certainly, you know this.

I regularly consult about a half dozen, representing various ideologies, including Blue MAGA SwampMedia outlets.

I'll repeat. A useful recent litmus test is that an news outlet that ignored those firebomb attacks is promoting Joe Biden propaganda.

You, it seems, only consume from those sources so, I guess, for you, personally, an answer to your question is: Outlets whose reporting you consume.

  15. by Ponderer on May 20, 2022 7:44 am

    "I'm guessin not." -pb

You're guessin' wrong. Because you are projecting again. You think it inconceivable that we wouldn't react exactly how you and your side does. How your side is doing with this issue.

And I love how you have to resort to using hypothetical things that progressives haven't even done as an argument against things that MAGA Republicans actually have.

  16. by HatetheSwamp on May 20, 2022 7:48 am

    po,

    Welcome back, however briefly.

What are you effin referring to?

  17. by Donna on May 20, 2022 8:04 am
    "Don't be obtuse" - Billoney

    Oh, THAT'S rich!!!!!!

    Beahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

  18. by Ponderer on May 20, 2022 8:17 am

I commend the authorities for being on top of this stuff. I want them to keep the most radical and violent elements of the left under watch as much as I want them to with the most radical and violent elements of the right.

Reports on twenty five violent online posts isn't nothing. I'm interested to learn how many of them are actually posts linked to any operating organizations, like Oath Keepers on the right for example, and aren't just rogue, mentally disturbed, violent individuals.

But I am sure that 25 is a small enough number to be investigated thoroughly. I mean, compared to the constant tsunami of reports they must have piled up dealing with the MAGA right and their associated terrorist, white supremacist groups for years upon years now.

I adamantly hope that any crimes discovered to have been committed by any of these "progressives" will be prosecuted to the fullest intent of the law.

And no, Hate. Much as you may not be able to wrap your head around this, I won't be excusing, lying for, or protecting them like you and the Republican right excuses, lies for, and protects absolutely every single solitary last criminal on its side without a nanosecond of hesitation or moral consideration.

And if any of these 25, or any other "progressives", hypothetically someday eventually possibly ever do launch an insurrection over this, I will condemn them for it as such.

  19. by Ponderer on May 20, 2022 8:19 am

"What are you effin referring to?" -poor bill

Your quote, that I put in quotation marks and made bold. Don't you know what you were referring to...?

  20. by HatetheSwamp on May 20, 2022 8:22 am

    po,

Check the board. I'm on numerous threads now. I'm juggling Donna and Curt, isle and, now, you.

  21. by HatetheSwamp on May 20, 2022 8:31 am

"And if any of these 25, or any other "progressives", hypothetically someday eventually possibly ever do launch an insurrection over this, I will condemn them for it as such." ~po

    We'll see.

I know that you didn't read 5come to SS to condemn the firebombing of those two prolife sites...in Wisconsin and Oregon.

But, I'll give you a mulligan...

    ...just once.

I'll tell you, though, based on the past, next to Curt, I have you pegged as the most blatant Blue MAGA Good German I've ever encountered.

  22. by Ponderer on May 20, 2022 8:37 am

"Check the board. I'm on numerous threads now." -poor bill

I understand. It's so time consuming and complicated, scrolling to the top of a page you are already on to see what you yourself said on that page that someone was referring to by their use of a bolded quote of something you said.

Heck. Yeah, I guess I could have been referring to something you said on Facebook for all you know or could be bothered to expend a shred of energy to find out.

    "
    -poor bill

I'll condemn them right now. So you can stuff your mulligan.

You Conservatives. Always condemning others for things they haven't done and things they haven't said. It's pathetic.

  24. by HatetheSwamp on May 20, 2022 9:11 am

    po,

Considering all that's going on, I can understand that you're defensive.

Do you regret, yet, the foisting of "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" on America?

Could OrangeMan really have been worse than this?

  25. by Curt_Anderson on May 20, 2022 9:14 am
You can read about that fire bombing in Oregon at the link below. Suffice to say it was not much of a story for reporters to cover, although they did.

Apparently somebody threw a couple of Molotov cocktails at the side of a brick building which resulted in a small fire but no reported damage to the building. No windows were broken. It seems to be rather a half-hearted attempted fire bombing.

There was more damage done to Nancy Pelosi's office on January 6th of last year.

  26. by Ponderer on May 20, 2022 9:44 am

Give 'im a break, Curt. Making the most outta whatever they can manage to find, blowing it out of all contextual proportion, regardless of how minor, is all poor bill and his ilk have got to work with.

  27. by Ponderer on May 20, 2022 9:50 am

We condemn them for thousands on their side taking part in a lethally violent insurrectionist coup against the Capital our democratic system of government...

...and they give us a couple Molotov cocktails thrown against a brick wall.

To be fair, had it been three Molotov cocktails, that would have technically qualified as an insurrection.

    .

  28. by Ponderer on May 20, 2022 9:52 am

And I actually have no reason to regret voting for Biden instead of anyone else.

  29. by HatetheSwamp on May 20, 2022 10:05 am

Yeah, inflation and doubled gas prices and babies getting sick from the ongoing formula shortage, the epidemic of fentanyl deaths, the promise of a summer of rage? Perfectly groovy!

Joe promised all of that to us.

  30. by Curt_Anderson on May 20, 2022 12:00 pm
    HtS,
You have the wrong attitude. It IS perfectly groovy.

Gas prices rising is a good thing since it means more people will get off the fossil fuel teat and switch to more ecological alternatives.

Fentanyl "epidemic". Consider that a Darwinian improvement to society. Look where the slack-jawed locals who are addicted to Fentanyl live and die.

Top Ten States for Drug Overdose Mortality Rates (in order)
    South Dakota
    Nebraska
    Texas
    Iowa
    Montana
    North Dakota
    Idaho
    Kansas
    Wyoming
    Georgia

Tucker Carlson told viewers in February. “In fact, their deaths [from Fentanyl] may have helped the equity agenda by changing the demographics of the country in a way that benefits the Democratic Party. So, as far as the Biden administration is concerned, it’s not a bad trend.”

Baby formula shortage has nothing to do with Joe Biden although he has taken steps to solve the problem. There is a silver lining to that story, too. More mothers will be breast-feeding which is much better anyway.

All in all, thank you President Biden!

  32. by Ponderer on May 20, 2022 5:13 pm

One of the big differences between me and you, Hate, is that I don't blame people for things that they aren't responsible for.

But hey, Fox feeds ya a line, ya gotta barf the line back out. Regurgitate and obfuscate. It's all you ever do.

  33. by Donna on May 20, 2022 11:04 pm
The DHS is concerned is about extremists on both sides committing violence.

    Donna,

They're being prudent in being aware of what's going on on both sides buy, c'mon man gimme a break. Since the opinion was leaked, on one side has been violent. One one side has guaranteed a Summer of Rage.
