Some Democrats, however, remain skeptical that the party can reach a deal after the failed efforts late last year. Manchin, for instance, supports raising the corporate tax rate, but Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema, another Democratic holdout, has been adamant in her opposition to increasing it.
This is why foisting the Demented Doddering Old Fool on the nation was a mistake. The Dems got their guy in the Oval Office, but the geezer can't lead his own party.
We'll see, of course, but with Dem incumbents facing tough races and an empty suit as President, I, for one, won't be holding my breath.
