The definition of winning depends on whether you are the attacking country or the country being attacked.
Winning for Ukraine means stopping the Russian onslaught and surviving as a nation.
Winning for Russia means swallowing up the Ukraine making it part of Russia and governing it. After Russia's brutality, their attacking and killing citizens and other war crimes it's impossible for me to imagine Ukrainians ever tolerating the yoke of Russia. Not to mention the Russians are physically destroying that physical structures and the infrastructures of the cities they hope to capture. I believe Russia will find Ukraine ungovernable.
On top of that, not many countries in the world will look kindly upon Russia and want to do business with them. Putin is turned Russia into a pariah state.
Ukraine on the other hand now has an excellent reputation thanks to Zelenski and the many articulate Ukrainian spokespeople. I am not sure that many westerners thought of Ukraine as being a modern democracy before recently.
