More precisely, it's a prequel. "Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore" comes out this month. Jude Law plays the young Albus Dumbledore. Besides a "characters by" credit, J.K. Rowling shares screenplay writing a credit.
Coincidentally, I just finished a Harry Potter Spell Selector. I've included more spells than you can shake a stick (or wand) at.
When he was young, I read the entire Harry Potter series to my son. Normally, I am not a big fiction fan, especially fiction with deus ex machina plot devices, but the Harry Potter series was quite entertaining. I suppose that my son was so enthralled made the books more enjoyable for me.
