The text was harsh. The tone was angry.

During the campaign, Joe Biden promised, repeatedly, that he would be the President of all Americans, for the people who voted for him as well as those who voted against him.

Every time he's had an opportunity to keep that promise, he's blown it.

Today was his perfect opportunity to reach out and to lead, as President, to call all Americans to come together. To put the past behind. To forgive.

To say straightforwardly, "For my part, I forgive. I urge you all, Democrat and Republican, liberal and conservative, to forgive."

But, he's angry. He seems more angry in 022 than in 021.

Politically, Joe Biden lost the day.

If you aren't angry with those who would subvert democracy there's something wrong with you. But we already know that.

Trump has been prevailed upon to keep his big effin mouth shut on January 6.

Joe had an opportunity today to be who he promised to be and came across as the crabby, curmudgeonly old fart he really is. His approval is in the tank. People in his position have few opportunities to reverse fortune. Joe came to the plate with the bases loaded.

Mighty Casey, such as he is, "has struck out."
