AUDITING PROCESS: Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3                       Has the program offered MI training for at least one year? NO Do not continue with the application. Submit the application when you meet the one-year requirement.   YES   Complete the application and pay the Phase 1 fee of $500.00. YES Is the program at least 40-Hours? NO Do not apply. The program should be at least 40-hours. In 2016, programs need to be at least 60-Hours to meet accreditation requirements.     Submit the candidate checklist after completing the payment process. PHASE 1 Acknowledgement of application sent to candidate within 7 business days of receipt. Auditor and co-auditor are assigned.         Auditor sends introduction email to candidate. Phase 1 Start Date and End Date designated. (7 business days.)     Phase 1 requirements not completed within 30 days. Phase 1 fee is forfeited. May reapply in 3 months. Will need to pay the Phase 1 fee when reapplying. Status Letter sent to candidate by auditor with advise on completion Phase 1 of requirements within 30 days. NO Phase 1 review completed. Results presented to CMIE within 7 days of Phase 1 End Date. Meets all Core Requirements? YES Phase 1 approval letter sent to candidate by auditor. Candidate pays the appropriate fee (academic or non-academic). Site visit is scheduled within 30 days. Phase 2 requirements not completed within 30 days. Phase 2 fee is forfeited. May reapply for Phase 2 review in 3 months. Will need to pay the Phase 2 limited review fee when reapplying. Requirements completed within 30 days. Proceed to Phase 2. Status letter sent by CMIE to candidate with advise on completion of requirements within 30 days. NO Phase 2: Site Visit is conducted. Approved? Auditor and co-auditor present results to CMIE within 7 business days of site visit. YES       Certificate of Accreditation sent by CMIE to candidate within 5 business days of CMIE approval. Program added to CMIE-accredited programs at the CMIE website.
