How Environmental Health permits Public Swimming Pools in Rockingham County.

Central Permit Technicians receive Operational Swimming Pool Permit application and fee.	Application is placed in Environmental Health Programs Coordinator's mail box.	Environmental Health Programs Coordinator assigns Application to an Environmental Health Specialist (EHS).	EHS contacts Pool Operator to schedule appointment to evaluate their swimming pool for a permit.

			EHS inspects the swimming pool in accordance with North Carolina regulations.		Does swimming pool meet requirements for a Public Swimming Pool Permit?
				NO	YES
		Pool Operator pays revisit fee at Central Permitting and then contacts EHS to schedule another inspection.	EHS leaves a report with deficiencies that need to be corrected and instructions on rescheduling another inspection once a revisit fee has been paid and all deficiencies have been corrected .		EHS issues an Operational Swimming Pool Permit Permit.
