How to trouble shoot a small engine

               
Test for compression in piston cylinder
Test Oil
Test for Spark
Test fuel supply
Test for correct timing









Use piston compression gauge
Is there Oil? Is the oil bad, or contain crude?
Check Flywheel, and Magnetron. Test spark plug. Look for wear then clean.
Check air filter. Clean if neccessary or replace. Spray starter fluid. Check for tainted fuel.
Check blade for obstructions, then check keyway if broke.









Test Carb
 
 
 
 









Check for corrosion. Check float, bowl, and jets.
