First someone can show the legislator an idea. Then the legislator showes the bill to the state legislator.

After the bill is drafted the legislator introduces it to the house or senate. Then the bill is given to the committee.

The commitee looks over the bill. If the bill is approved by the committee it moves on to hearing. "After the hearing, amendments can also be made to the bill." The bill could die if no one takes further action.

If the bill goes on then it goes to the rules committee and is put on a calender so the committee can talk about it a certain day. Legislators discuss the bill and then vote.

If the bill is passed by the legislators it is looked over again. Then it's sent for a final vote by either the house or senate.

If the governer doesn't agree with the bill he can veto the bill. But the legislator can override the governers veto. Two-thirds majority of both houses need to agree.

The governer looks over the bill and if he signs it, it becomes a law but if the governer does nothing the bill becomes a law in five to ten days.

When the bill is accepted by both houses it's signed by the leaders and sent to the governer. A citizen can now voice their opinion.

If the bill is passed by one of the houses another house goes through the same process with it.
