the supposed voter fraud in the 2020 election is "solved."

While those of us in the reality based community know that Biden defeated Trump 306-232 in the electoral college, you Republicans should stick your guns and your man by not voting if Trump hasn't been declared by the rightful winner of 2020. Your not voting well send a message to The Swamp.

In the world of the Trumpsters with their odd way of thinking, I don't doubt that this makes a lot of sense to them.

  2. by HatetheSwamp on October 14, 2021 5:16 am

Based on what I'm reading, the Independents will win for GOP candidates, even if GOPs don't vote.

    Win win!

    LET'S GO BRANDON!!!!!

  3. by islander on October 14, 2021 6:27 am

Yes !!! I agree Hate. Let's get that message out there to all the Trumpsters and that includes you of course even though I know you already believe it! Be like Trump and do what he says, if you are a Republican,"stay home and don't vote"! The Independents will save the day !!!

  4. by Ponderer on October 14, 2021 7:32 am
Just got done cleaning the coffee off of my computer screen.

I'm all for letting independents save the day.

  5. by Ponderer on October 14, 2021 9:07 am

In an old interview I heard him give, Trump mentioned how one of his prime mottoes is "Never concede". And you can take him at his word on that one for once. It's his formula for getting out of any jam he ever finds himself in no matter what. It has governed his every action. This isn't speculation. It's been there right in front of us all since before 2016. We've seen him do anything, say anything, no matter how illegal or asinine, to save his ass in any trouble he ever finds himself in.

There is no scenario imaginable in which Trump would have lost the election that would have resulted in him admitting that he lost. Period. It would go against every fiber of his nature to ever admit that he was a loser. In anything. Golf, elections, business, attractiveness to women, marriage, intelligence...

And no, Hate. No one needs to be an omniscient, sanctimonious mind reader to know this about him. It's a blatantly obvious element of his public persona.

  6. by Curt_Anderson on October 14, 2021 11:02 am
Just a couple of days ago I was saying that Trump will eventually kill the GOP (see link below).

Trump convinced his followers in 2020 that they shouldn't vote-by-mail. That resulted in many more Democrats than Republicans voting by mail. After the presidential election, he convinced his Georgia cultists that the election was rigged (thus voting was pointless) which resulted in two Democrats winning US Senate seats.

Trump has no allegiance to the GOP or anybody other than himself. Trump has no principles. The GOP has remade itself in his image, to the point that their 2020 party platform, which is supposed to be a manifesto of the party's goals and principles was NO party platform.

From time-to-time you read about some political party in the Middle East or somewhere in Africa boycotting an election. I think to myself what a self-defeating strategy...they don't understand democracy!. Trump and his cultists don't understand democracy.

If the Trump cultists continue to die off from COVID and listen to Trump and not vote, the Democrats chances are looking good!

    Curt,

    First of all,

Trump Trump Trump, Trump Trump Trump, Trump Trump Trump... Trump.

Second, the Dems would have cheated via mail in ballots either way. Trump just didn't see that coming.

And, you're right. Trump has forever changed the GOP.

    It'll never be the same.

  8. by Curt_Anderson on October 14, 2021 11:51 am
    HtS,
First off, what's with the "Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump..."? Is that sort of incantation among you cultists?

So please continue to believe that Democrats cheated. Until the 2020 "Presidential Election Fraud" has been solved, show your support for Donald Trump and DO NOT VOTE in the next two elections. It's the most important thing Republicans can do!

  9. by HatetheSwamp on October 14, 2021 12:22 pm

From what I can tell, Curt, Trump notwithstanding, GOP voters are going to come out for a myriad of reasons from supporting police to opposing antiwhite racism to order on the border to being able to buy Christmas presents to getting gas under $5.00/ gallon again.

  10. by Ponderer on October 14, 2021 2:09 pm
To be able to buy Christmas presents? That's what they're being told now, that they can't buy Christmas presents? LOL! I thought they got over waronchristmasism.

Isn't Rachel reporting on the supply chain crisis slowing the delivery of products into ports, especially in your California...and, ultimately, on to store shelves?

Heck! "That feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" even gave a speech about it yesterday.

You need to broaden your horizons.

  12. by Donna on October 15, 2021 4:36 am
Hate: What does that have to do with this topic thread?

I read about Biden's order that the SoCal ports expand their operation to 24/7. That'll create a lot of jobs and solve the problem at the ports.

First. Donna, I've noticed that you frequently have difficulty connecting dots.

    Also,...

We were discussing the likelihood that GOPs will or won't vote.

As far as "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" convincing the ports to open 24/7, from what I understand, there aren't enough 18 wheeler drivers available to drive the trucks that would deliver the product unloaded from the ships. The man's an absolute incompetent.

And, when Santa Claus arrives late, parents and grandparents are going to be poopin their pants!!!!!

  14. by Donna on October 15, 2021 8:45 am
As I recall from what I've read, the problem is that the ports themselves are backed up. It's a big topic in Long Beach. I'll post an article.

Btw, I understand the topic of this thread, and I have no trouble connecting dots. I think you just mistakenly posted on the wrong topic thread and are too insecure to admit it, so instead, you attacked me.

  15. by HatetheSwamp on October 15, 2021 8:51 am

Which one so you suppose was in the wrong thread?

  16. by Donna on October 15, 2021 9:09 am
Oh, ok, so your comment on not being able to buy Christmas presents was a reference to the backup at the ports. My bad.

The backup has been a problem at least as far back as April, and is due to myriad problems, none of which are a lack of truck drivers. Actually all US ports are backed up now.

  17. by islander on October 15, 2021 1:57 pm

Hate claimed: "And, when Santa Claus arrives late, parents and grandparents are going to be poopin their pants!!!!!"

So you seem to be saying that most Republicans, apparently, don't understand the causes of this supply chain slowdown and will therefore ignore Trump's orders not to vote?

It's been said in some studies and research that, comparatively speaking, conservatives on the whole have a more difficult time holding complex thoughts.

Do you think this might have some truth to it in this instance, and this might help explain why you think their inability to grasp the complexities of the supply chain issues might result in their ignoring Trump's orders not to vote?

    isle,

I think we all know that every conservative is a moron and that all Swampcult Blue MAGAs have IQs that would make Einstein blush with envy.

The issue here, however, is purely emotional. When kids and grandkids are heartbroken because Santy Claus didn't bring them whatever it is that they asked for, the guy in the White House will be blamed. That person would have been blamed if it were Trump, even George effin Washington.

In this case, I think "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" has handled this poorly but any President would be dealing with a mess.

Even Swampcult Blue MAGA progressive parents and grandparents will wonder if the President could have done more.

  19. by islander on October 15, 2021 2:57 pm

Hate claimed: "I think we all know that every conservative is a moron and that all Swampcult Blue MAGAs have IQs that would make Einstein blush with envy."

No. We don't all know or believe such a thing.

"The issue here, however, is purely emotional. When kids and grandkids are heartbroken because Santy Claus didn't bring them whatever it is that they asked for, the guy in the White House will be blamed."

The issue is not purely emotional for everyone. There are reasons for the supply chain slowdown. Although they are complex there are people who want to understand them and do indeed understand them. Are you suggesting that for Trump voters the issue is purely emotional and that's why they'll blame the guy in the White House?

  21. by HatetheSwamp on October 15, 2021 3:20 pm
    isle,

I'm fairly confident that, in the end, this empty shelves and delayed Christmas is going to go poorly for "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" in the White House and for members of his party onnthe ballot in 022.

I do believe that he's bungled the mess so far and will, when his handling of the problem is examined by thinking voters, he'll be seen to be as inept as he's been seen to handle the withdrawal of Afghanistan. But, in the end, emotions will rule the day.

And, the Dems are going to take a historic beating in about one year.

  22. by islander on October 15, 2021 5:37 pm

Hate:"I do believe that he's bungled the mess so far "

You've just proven yourself to be an excellent example of the conservative Republican who doesn't understand the causes of the slowdown and therefore you reason with your emotions.

  23. by HatetheSwamp on October 16, 2021 5:17 am

    Right, isle. I'm a libertarian.

I do think we all wish we could understand as many things as you do...

...and, that you UNDERSTAND that "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" is competent is effin amazing!

  24. by islander on October 16, 2021 5:48 am

You can call yourself a Libertarian if you want but that still doesn’t change the fact that ”You've just proven yourself to be an excellent example of the conservative Republican who doesn't understand the causes of the slowdown and therefore you reason with your emotions.”

”I do think we all wish we could understand as many things as you do...”---Hate

If one “wants to know” it doesn’t take a great deal of work to find out the causes of the disruption in shipping, most anyone can do it, I’m sure even you, however there’s this thing called willful ignorance.

  25. by HatetheSwamp on October 16, 2021 6:02 am

    isle,

Who's suggesting that the supply chain problem is difficult to understand...cept you, of course? Understanding it is no big deal.

Ameliorating it is something that "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" isn't doing well, and won't, do well. It will be linked in voters' minds with his other incompetences.

And, politically speaking, I think you make an excellent point. Libertarians and conservative GOPs are seeing the same reality.

Again, bad news for Swampcult Blue MAGA progressives.

  26. by islander on October 16, 2021 7:11 am

”Who's suggesting that the supply chain problem is difficult to understand...cept you, of course? Understanding it is no big deal.” ---Hate

You have been claiming that that you and the Trump Republican base think that somehow it’s Biden’s fault and he should have been able to “fix it”. That shows that you don’t understand what the causes are and that you think the Trump Republican base doesn’t understand them either which is why you say they’ll hold it against Biden.

“If” you really do understand the causes then you are insulting the intelligence of the Trump voters of which you are one. You are unwittingly insulting your own intelligence.

  28. by Donna on October 16, 2021 9:03 am
I don't think Hate himself has trouble understanding anything. He just likes shining a light on anything that has the potential to hurt Biden and Democrats. Examine his posts. Most of them center on that theme.

  29. by islander on October 16, 2021 11:38 am

I’m pretty sure Hate probably understands more than what he shows in his posts, but every so often it can be somewhat interesting to interact with him as if he were being sincere...at least for a little while.

  30. by HatetheSwamp on October 16, 2021 4:32 pm

pb has no problem understanding the supply chain thingie and he's convinced that anyone with a 90+ IQ, who's interested, can get it in their sleep.

What I've been trying to get isle, The Great Understander, to understand is that most people are going to engage the issue emotionally.

They're going to understand that "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" has bungled the problem and they will become emotional, angry...pi$$ed...at him.

And, there will be electoral hell to pay.

  31. by Curt_Anderson on October 16, 2021 4:48 pm
    HtS,
I am surprised that you openly admit what most of us here think.

You write that people with at least a 90 IQ understand the supply chain problem but most people will "understand" it emotionally rather than intellectually.

These people you say will vote Republican. In other words, people with a sub 90 IQ and the intellectually lazy vote for Republicans.

  32. by HatetheSwamp on October 17, 2021 8:28 am

    Curt,

In 022, nearly everyone, no matter the IQ, will be voting against "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap."

But, yikes bubba, there was a day when progressives fought for the inclusion of all, especially the disadvantaged.

How you think being a sanctimonious elitist is a good thing is beyond my understanding.

    Yet, clearly you do.
