    Sen. Sullivan got it wrong. He misquoted and/or mischaracterized Biden's interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos

    “Your top military advisers warned against withdrawing on this timeline. They wanted you to keep about 2,500 troops,” Stephanopoulos said to Biden in the interview.

    “No, they didn't,” Biden replied. “It was split. That wasn't true.”

    The operative word there is "split". In other words, Biden heard conflicting recommendations from his military advisors. Biden probably also heard the opinions of diplomats and others. After consideration of those opinions, Biden did what he said he'd do during the campaign and withdrew from Afghanistan.

    As you know I don't claim to be a doctor. However, I have many doctor friends so I am comfortable in suggesting that you may be suffering from dementia which apparently runs in your family.

    I hope you accept my diagnosis in the spirit in which it is given, that of genuine concern. Today you posted twice on the same topic, this thread and other post another post claiming Biden "lied".

    I quoted the ABC interviewer and Biden's truthful response above to refute your claim, yet you still claim he lied. Some people here blow it off as a mere reading comprehension problem. I believe it might be something more serious requiring the attention of a neurologist.

    Please get the help you need!

    Your angry and illogical outbursts are more evidence of your dementia.

    I am not denying that Sen. Sullivan said what he says in that video clip, I am saying he misquoted Biden. Biden did NOT say "none of his military advisors said that he should keep US forces in Afghanistan" as Sullivan claimed. Biden said the opposite.

    Biden told Stephanopoulos that the generals were "split". It shouldn't be a surprise that military people would tend to think the military can be solution to every problem. Even if a majority of the generals wanted to stay, that shouldn't have been the determining factor in how Biden made his decision.

    For the record, the media, including the "liberal media" are at fault here too. They often times have personal and emotional connections with the Afghans which clouds their judgment and reporting. For reasons of their own, many would have delayed withdrawal from Afghanistan. They may even be responsible in telling their Afghan contacts to "stay put" in Afghanistan.
