Donald Trump has lost three lawyers in just one day as Joseph Tacopina's withdrawal from representing him meant another two attorneys from his firm also dropped out of the former president's defense, Newsweek reported.
Tacopina, a key lawyer who was representing Trump in his New York hush money case and the appeal of last year's ruling in the E. Jean Carroll defamation trial, withdrew his firm's services Monday, just two months before the criminal case was set to begin.
Withdrawing his firm's services would include fellow lawyers Chad Seigel and Matthew DeOreo.
The obvious question is why? Possible reasons include:
1. A breach of trust between attorneys and client...in either direction
2. The client wants a different legal strategy than lawyers.
3. Client hasn't paid their bills
4. Client is uncooperative, abusive, unreasonable, etc.
5. The lawyers don't want to argue a case they know they will lose. They'd rather settle/take a plea deal.
