The Arctic is warming at a rate three times faster than the rest of the planet which is also warming at an alarming rate.
So in a last ditch effort to save humanity, scientists are considering refreezing the Arctic by creating white cloud cover over the Arctic Sea during the three months of polar summer.
"We can manage this," said David King, chair of the Climate Crisis Advisory Group (CCAG). "I believe we've got five years to set in train a whole series of a program of work. We will have a safe future for mankind going well into the next century."
"[Otherwise,] we are looking at a situation in the near future that is really to too grim to to contemplate," he said.

The Gulf Stream "conveyor belt" is showing signs of slowing down, as predicted many years ago by climatologists. When the Gulf Stream collapses, Europe will be sent into a permanent deep freeze in addition to myriad horrible consequences.
