Clearly, gang, Indy and pb are ahead of the times!

Americans, increasingly, not only hate the Swamp, they'refed up. In 016, MAGA was an attempt to turn America away from our dysfunctional and corrupt DC political culture and, of course, MAGA remains the hope for the more moderate HatetheSwamp-ers, but it's no longer enuff for many.

Check out WaPo wacko Philip Bump's column. Understand, Bump loooooooves the Swamp, especially the woke, white electric limousine lovin progressive Dem Swamp. But, he's up on what's bubbling.

Read his leftie column and, especially his links.

024 is shaping up as the year that Americans could turn away from those silly DC games Curt, po and isle love so much.

pb loves to laugh at people who hold on to the old ways when the paradigm shifts! Baha ha!

These are folks that are done with having wokester rammed downn their throats. Anyone with high school social studies can see our republic is now turning into wokester heaven (and haven) with direct reverences to the little red book, and the great revolution. People want to get back to the constitution.

On the other side, those wanting to succeed, believe wokesterism isn't going fast enough. They want absolute authority without the PITA of having to "negotiate" anything.

Although this makes for a great Republic, the immediate gratifiers aren't willing to see the Republic do what it is supposed to do. Slow change so the homerbandwagon doesn't slip and slide us into the whim of the mob.

You're on the right track, OD - but still buying into the "two party" idea too much. I (and a lot of lefties like me) couldn't care less about "wokesterism". That is just another tool used to divide Americans along the fake "two party" line. It's like saying every Repub is MAGA. I can't believe how many posts there are on this board concerning gender identity. There are less than 10 regular posters and that "issue" will probably have virtually no effect on any of us at this time in our lives. Is it an "issue"? Sure. Does it affect the handful of people here in a way worth debating? No.

I can't read your first two articles, peebs - paywalls. I don't pay. But I liked this from the Pew Research page...

    Evaluations of the political system

Only 4% of the public says the political system in the U.S. is working extremely or very well today (CURT), while 23% say it is working somewhat well (PONDY / DONNA). About seven-in-ten (72%) say the system is working not to (45% - PEEBS) or not at all (27%) well (INDY).
