Legal Goober #2: The Impeachment Inquiry does mean that there will be an impeachment but it makes it more likely that you're going to get answers

pb thinks that's the point. The White House has a choice. Either stop with the bobbing and weaving and provide answers to the House's questions, or not. If they don't, my guess is that Joe's impeached...and the GOPs take both House's in 024.

Senate Republicans Slam House GOP’s Impeachment Inquiry into Biden: ‘It Can’t Become Routine’

"While Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced Tuesday that his party is launching an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden [ ], not everyone in his party is convinced it's a good idea.

If impeached, Biden would almost certainly be acquitted by the Senate, which is controlled by Democrats, though some lawmakers question whether an impeachment would even succeed in the Republican-led House.

Republican Sen. Marco Rubio told The Hill that impeachment “should generally be avoided for the interest of the country," adding: “It can’t become routine."

“My big fear remains that at some point you trivialize this, you make it routine. Suddenly it becomes a weapon or a tool routinely used by a political party against someone from the other party in power,” Rubio added. [Why it sounds like he thinks that House MAGA Republicans are engaged in weaponizing impeachment!]

West Virginia Republican Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, a leader in the Senate Republican Conference, told The Hill that she does not believe there's enough evidence to impeach Biden.

Another Senate Republican leader, Texas Sen. John Cornyn, believes that the mission to impeach Biden is a waste of House Republicans' resources, telling The Hill: “Rather than doing something they know is unlikely to end the way they would like, maybe they want to emphasize other things.”

Even in the House, some Republicans are not convinced that impeachment is warranted. On Sunday, Colorado Rep. Ken Buck, a member of the far-right House Freedom Caucus, told MSNBC's Jen Psaki, “The time for impeachment is the time when there’s evidence linking President Biden — if there’s evidence linking President Biden to a high crime or misdemeanor. That doesn’t exist right now."

And while some House Republicans say that a special impeachment inquiry would allow them to obtain evidence of criminal behavior by Biden and his family, the Republican-controlled House Oversight Committee was already unsuccessful in doing so, even after reviewing 12,000 pages of subpoenaed bank records as well as interviews with two of Hunter Biden’s business partners. -link

Senate Republicans Slam House GOP’s Impeachment Inquiry into Biden: ‘It Can’t Become Routine’

    po,

    Baha!

Are you EVER going to worship at the altar of the wisdom of pb!!!!!?

How many times has pb noted that GOPs don't govern well!!!!!? C'mon man. A dozen? A score? A hundred?

And, po, y'know d@ng well. pb's a broken record with:

The GOP is the home of openness and inclusion, acceptance, diversity, tolerance and most of all...FREETHINKING? Hmmmm?

    FREEDOM, BABY!

    And...

...and this is what really galls you, I know:

You woke, white electric limousine lovin Dem Swampcultists are brainless, locksteppin fascists.

This is our reality at least through the Impeachment Inquiry. The House now has all the power granted to it by the Constitution to make "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap's" string pullers comply to subpoenas, to answer interrogatories and to submitto depositions. (How many members of the Executive Branch do you wanna guess will be threatened with Contempt of Congress...or, convicted of it?)

As pb and Indy have been saying, Joe Biden will not be convicted by the Senate. pb has it at only 50/50 that the House will Impeach the Doddering Old Fool.

But, po, truth about Biden Crime Family corruption is going to be exposed...and in spite of Rachel and Ari's propaganda, there's tons already known...with more to come, now that HouseGOPs have Impeachment Inquiry clout...

...and, po'll be doing the angry ostrich thing...and pb'll be going baha keehee haha!

    Baha keehee haha, ahhhhhhhhhhh!
