"BREAKING: @Target has lost $9 BILLION since we all called for a boycott against them for pushing LGBTQ+ clothing and products on children.
NINE. BILLION. DOLLARS.
We will no longer allow these companies to pervert our youth and groom them into the Gender Cult!"
From the NYP:
A week ago Wednesday before the controversy erupted, Target’s stock closed at $160.96 a share, giving the big-box chain a market.
As of early trading on Thursday, however, shares of the company were trading off 1% at $141.76 — capping a weeklong tumble that has shrunk the “cheap chic” discount retailer’s value to $65.3 billion.
That amounts to a 12% drop that has shaved a whopping $9 billion off the company’s market capitalization.
Target declined to specify Wednesday which items it was removing but among the ones that garnered the most attention were “tuck friendly” women’s swimsuits that allow trans women who have not had gender-affirming operations to conceal their private parts.
Designs by Abprallen, a London-based company that designs and sells occult- and satanic-themed LGBTQ+ clothing and accessories, have also created backlash.
Two observations.
1. This is precisely what pumps of the anti-TQ LGB groups and activists who are all about effin GROOMING. If ever there has been a clear effort by a retailer to engage in corporate TQ grooming of people who wear baby effin sized clothing, it is this!
2. The question is called for: WHAT THE EFF WERE THESE CORPORATE MORONS THINKING? Target sells to mommies and daddies and nannas and pappaps. Who could have dreamed that this might be good business!!!!!?
Oh, and, 3. This ain't about anything close to anti-TQ or homophobic. The people celebrating most loudly are the conservative anti-TQ, anti-groomer LGB groups and activists. This is about the demise of woke hegemony in the culture.
