Tip of the iceberg. Tip of the effin iceberg!

Over the course of my 12-plus years of service, the FBI’s trajectory transformed,...

"The FBI became politically weaponized, starting from the top in Washington [and] trickling down to the field offices...

"Although agents have their First Amendment rights, they are not at liberty to publicly express any potential political support while on duty wearing official FBI gear,...

...there has also been a shift in recruiting practices – a lowering of the eligibility requirements – which is negatively impacting the agency’s performance.”

“All this adds up to a loss of trust in the FBI by many Americans and low morale among many FBI employees...

Every time progressive SwampLovers have sneered and mocked our reports of the fact that highly respected GOPs (no, it ain't an oxymoron) have been interviewing FBI whistle-blowers, HtS has been biding his time.

Former FBI Special Agent Nicole Parker testified to a House panel investigating the “weaponization” of the federal government that the bureau is plagued by “low morale,” has become “politically weaponized,” and has lowered its standards for new agents.

Parker's emotional testimony Thursday highlighted the first hearing by the new House Judiciary Committee’s Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.

Parker, who worked out of the FBI’s Miami field office, resigned from the bureau last year...

Parker claimed the bureau has been troubled by “one politicization issue after another,” citing the case of agents in FBI vests who knelt with Black Lives Matter protesters in Washington following the murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin.

In January, the House voted to establish the “weaponization” subcommittee on a straight party-line vote.

Gang,

When pb couldn't choose pb as his moniker on the SS Post, he chose HatetheSwamp on the spur of the moment. He's celebrated that choice many times.

pb is a GOP but, much more than than that, he despises what DC has become. pb is flabbergasted how brainlessly Curt, especially, but all of the progressive SwampLovers here defend so easily the dysfunctional DC political culture.

Well, gang. Truth is now being told. Nicole Parker, as pb understands it, will be the first of many truth tellers.

It stuns pb that Dems are pushing back against this truth telling. Wonder why.

Democratic committee members pushed back against some of their Republican colleagues and some of the panelists. Several, including Ranking Member Stacey Plaskett, D-Virgin Islands, said the FBI did not target parents but instead investigated threats of violence.

Plaskett also questioned the usefulness of the subcommittee, which she said seems like “little more than a political stunt.”

Yesterday, the day of Parker's testimony, should be established as a national holiday. Truth Day: February 9!

I watched her testimony. She is the epitome of valid whistleblower. She left the agency knowing her career was gone. Down the toilet. A true whistleblower understands that exposing that kind of corruption is nearly akin to exposing a mafia or gang kingpin. Sooner and later they will get you. Continually. and with malice.

She had lots of good thoughts. The "old" FBI of truth and justice, and the "new" "FBI." One filled with illegal political gains (In federal service, you can get reported to your supervisor or HR for discussing politics), and mandating agents do the same.

As I have said many, many times. This reminds me of a third-world shthole country, where I've served several times.

One thing that I'm taking from this hearing compared to say, that J6 offense against freedom is that our side is all about principle and justice, theirs, pure political hackery.

    You saw that yesterday.

  3. by Ponderer on February 10, 2023 7:35 am

It is so fulfilling to watch the Republican clowns getting their (and Trump's) asses handed to them at these hearings. It's hilarious to no end.

Almost as funny as watching you two try to make something out of a testimony that presented no actual facts or data proving or even supporting the witness's assertions. It was nothing but someone giving their biased opinions.

  4. by HatetheSwamp on February 10, 2023 8:21 am

    po,

Two words that matter to lovers of our national conviction that all people have been endowed by "our Creator with certain unalienable Rights," the Fifth Amendment and the belief that this is "a nation of the people, by the people and for the people (not you, obviously):"

    DUE PROCESS

There was a whole lot of that going on yesterday but never, not even once, during the J6 Performance Art presentation of Stalin's Justice.

Other than the fact that she was bothered by her perceptions so that she quit her job, where is the evidence that the FBI was Weaponized?

FBI agents taking a knee during a BLM event is not in itself weaponization.

  6. by HatetheSwamp on February 10, 2023 9:16 am

Think Super Bowl, Curt. The Eagles just kicked off. The ball was downed in the End Zone. The first play's going to be on the
Chief's 35. And, guess what?, Patrick Mahomes don't have a single TD pass. That don't mean the Eagles defense is dominating. Bahahahahahahahahahaha.

To be a tad cynical, they started with Nicole because she's not too far below bein a babe.

But, as much as you need to Good German scoff, the FBI whistle-blowers really exist.

Tip of the iceberg. Tip of the iceberg.

The only "weaponization" of the Justice Department that has been supported by any actual facts or evidence has been provided by the Democrats against Trump!

That's what's so hysterically funny about these MAGA clown shows. They are doing the exact opposite of what they fooled themselves into thinking they were going to do. With hilarious results!

These hearings are proving that not only do the MAGA Hat House reps not have any actual evidence proving any of the flaming bullshit accusations against the Biden administration, but they are inadvertently providing the opportunity for the Dems to provide proof into the congressional record of Trump's blatant and undeniable weaponization of the Justice Department!

Funny as freaking hell I tells ya.

I think that my favorite part of the hearings so far was when MTG got so butt hurt and apoplectic as she was berating the Twitter guy about how she was blocked. About how she was censored. And about how Twitter had violated her First Amendment rights. When the First Amendment in no way limits whatever speech a private company wants to allow or keep off their websites.

Her blithering ignorance of what the First Amendment is, coupled with her narcissistic, unwarranted, vengeful rage about how she was treated by Twitter for being a racist, violence-promoting asshole, made for all-out comedic gold!

This is from the New York Times report on the hearings:

There was sinister talk of destructive forces on the left that Republicans said held undue influence both in the United States and globally.

Yet there were no fresh revelations. Fox News, the favorite channel of the right, declined to carry most of the four-hour hearing live, featuring just a few clips before turning to other topics.

“We’ll get back into it for anything newsworthy,” the anchor John Roberts said at one point, before cutting away.

po. You're implying that the hearings have been going on for a year, not a day. Cute. Keeheeheeheeheeheeheehee.

And, po, these hearings are about the Swamp, not the Biden Crime Family.

    HtS,
What was it that we were supposed to read that would cause us to weep? Unless you meant weep with laughter.

  12. by HatetheSwamp on February 10, 2023 9:49 am

    Curt,

The mere fact that isle and you have been mocking: That small mountain of FBI whistle-blowers is a flesh and blood reality.

  13. by Ponderer on February 10, 2023 10:05 am

"po. You're implying that the hearings have been going on for a year, not a day." -Hate

I wasn't implying anything. But I've seen coverage of more than one day of these hearings so far. Maybe two or three days, I don't know exactly. But more than one. And each day has presented more hilarity of GQP idiocy and them getting their asses handed to them.

"And, po, these hearings are about the Swamp, not the Biden Crime Family. -Hate

Again, the only swamp that these asinine hearings is uncovering is the one that Trump presided over and has wallowed in with such carefree abandon.

  14. by Curt_Anderson on February 10, 2023 11:31 am
Those GOP witnesses which they billed as whistleblowers seem more like whistle whiners. They shared their grievances, but where is the actual evidence of governmental weaponization? I mean weaponization besides the Republican-led committee itself.

  15. by HatetheSwamp on February 10, 2023 11:32 am

Oh, Curt. It's over. Already? Oy. What a disappointment.

    Bahahahahahahahahahaha, ahhhhhhhhhhh!

  16. by Curt_Anderson on February 10, 2023 11:50 am
    HtS,
When Fox News doesn’t think the Republican committee hearings produced any evidence, and are not going anywhere, then your side has a problem. I still wonder why you thought there was anything in the hearing so far that would cause us to weep. What did you see that had any evidentiary value?

“We’ll get back into it for anything newsworthy,” Fox News anchor John Roberts said at one point, before cutting away.

  17. by HatetheSwamp on February 10, 2023 12:02 pm

You're quite the Fox expert, eh!!!!!? For the moment, as far as I can tell, Fox NEWS is obsessed with Joe's balloon. And, I don't know what Fox Business did. Fox Nation? Did they cover these hearings? OD says he watched the hearing. Where?

What I do know is that I saw footage of the attractive Ms Parker on Fox News last evening.

And, first thing this morning, when I clicked on Fox and Friends, guess what to my wondering eyes appeared? A HouseGOP committee member commenting on the image of Ms Parker appearing on the screen. As I say about all of these things, I have no idea what'll happen but, so far, it's gone the way I imagined.

The first cite is a cliff notes of her testimony, et.al.

The second is the cite with Rep. Stacey Plaskett, D-V.I, "warning" the committee (they actually have a representative number of dims on the committee) against "congressional weaponizing" which is a huge guffaw after all the crap we've had to put up with the dims for the past seven years.

#3 is "Why I left the FBI" by Nicole.

I saw her on Hannity, and Tucker as main interviews. And those are the one's I know of. My guess is that she was all throughout the day on all the programs at least once. I saw her on The Five. What Jessica Tarlov brought up is why weren't the "Whistleblowers" named. The answer to that is that whistleblowers come under a specific group of safety features and insurances. One of those is that until they go to court, they aren't named unless they want to be. I agree with her NOT to be named until the day of her subpoena. And then I would be on every program I could. Perhaps to land a job, or perhaps for some insurance to my well being.
