pb posting about the World Cup didn't go anywhere. Perhaps US football will resonate:

    About the Bulldogs...

    The Georgia Tech Yellowjackets have a rivalry with the Georgia Bulldogs that goes back many decades, although over the years the Bulldogs have become by far the most prominent team.

    My oldest brother is a GaTech grad and ardent Yellowjackets fan. In fact back in the early 80s, he and his wife ended up taking permanent residence in the Atlanta suburbs where they still live.

    I'm also a GaTech alumnus, although I didn't complete my Bachelor's degree there.

    My oldest brother's first child is also a GaTech grad. But his second and last child, his daughter, decided to attend the University of Georgia.

    I remember my brother talking about how difficult it was for him to sit with his daughter among Bulldogs fans at his first Yellowjackets-Bulldogs game with her. They do some sort of bark as a cheer, which to my brother couldn't bring himself to do.

    Tech has sucked in recent years but, with this new coach, they're moving in the right direction.

    The Bulldogs are still very good, but they're not quite what they were last year.

    My prediction was off. It flipped TCU and The Ohio Supreme University. OSU matches up well with Georgia. That could be a good game.
