NPR? Bahahahahahahahahahaha!

(Curt, you need to give us a DeSantis image to attach to our posts.)

Authorities in Texas have opened a criminal investigation into Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' flight last week that took roughly 50 Venezuelan migrants to Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. Javier Salazar, the sheriff of Bexar County, where San Antonio is located, said in a news release Monday that his office is investigating whether the migrants were victims of crimes...

There's nuthin in this world like earnest Blue MAGA snowflake whining.

Trump 2.0 has the left on its heels!

"That feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" who thinks he's a Former Truck Driver has turned the southern border into a sieve. And, Trump's mini me is turning the entire Blue MAGA Swampcult and SwampMedia into a pool of babbling idiots.

Laughable.

Lewis and Martin never were this hilarious!

"They had a right to walk around the streets just like you and me, and they had a right not to be preyed on and played for a fool and transported halfway across the country, just for the sake of a media event or a video opportunity.” --Sheriff Salazar

These people are asylum seekers who have immigration hearings. I say this case has much more potential than the Indiana attorney general's case against the doctor who performed an abortion on a 10 year old which you were sure was going to court.

Which reminds me, I wonder how Trump's lawsuit, LOL, against CNN is coming along.

  3. by HatetheSwamp on September 20, 2022 8:46 am

My take on the CNN suit is that the invasion of Melania's boudoir and Barron's closet added to the continuing leaks of material seized in the search are preemptive strikes intended to compromise Trump's legal team.

My guess is that the Swamp knows what would happen were Trump able to make his case.

This is the closest thing to proof.

    Conservatives without conscience.

Brian Tyler Cohen does a great job exposing the hypocrisy and lack of humanity of Trump 2.0 (RD certainly is that). I hope they throw the book at him.

“Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) has brought President Joe Biden's border crisis to the Obamas and other coastal elites whose midday mimosas were interrupted Wednesday by two planes full of illegal immigrants shipped straight to Martha's Vineyard.” Sweet Katie Pavlich

So what, EXACTLY are they going to charge him with? It would have to be a federal law, as they crossed state lines. Please tell! I'm interested in what felony and treasonous crime he did in this.

Or... Maybe you can just make something up, like you do with Trump? Yeah, that's the ticket. Just make it up! people are too stoopid not to believe it. yeah...

    OD,
DeSantis's greatest legal risk is probably in civil court. He was party to defrauding the asylum seekers who are mostly from Venezuela. They all had immigration hearing scheduled. These immigrants have the same rights as any other person in the United States: including residents and tourists. It's illegal to misrepresent an attraction so that people are bilked out of their money or even inconvenienced. This reminds me some what of the Fyre Festival fiasco which resulted in a number of lawsuits and criminal charges.

If we got onto plane and were told that were were going to desirable location and ended up somewhere else we'd have reason to sue. These people were told they were being sent to place, Boston, where there were plenty of jobs but instead they were sent to off-season Martha's Vineyard which is an island and there were not many jobs to be had.

So there's no crime. Got it. Thanks for clearing that up.

Since obviously they've been "coached" on this issue by sheeple lawyers, here's another angle of the situation. How is that going to look in the "lawsuit?" It's going to be a "well, yes I'm filing a lawsuit, but I also said that I like it there, but I also.... and I also..." Not a real good court case.

"Migrants say they are grateful to Florida Gov. DeSantis for sending them to Martha’s Vineyard"
"Some of the migrants flown to Martha’s Vineyard this week said they were grateful to Florida Governor Ron Desantis, calling his move to transfer them to the posh seaside community “a stroke of good luck.”

“The life there is good,” said Eliud Alguilar, a 27-year-old from Venezuela in an interview with The Post, referring to a military base where he and the 49 other migrants were sent by Massachusetts authorities after they landed in Martha’s Vineyard this week. “They treat us well, they provided us with food and medical assistance. We are all well.”

On Wednesday, 50 migrants who arrived in the US from South America were flown by the Florida state government to the summer resort community, where former President Obama has a lavish mansion. They were taken to a nearby military base Friday where many received medical attention and cell phones to contact immigration lawyers and family members in the US, according to reports."

You're right, OD, in the points you repeat. The Good German defenders of that "feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" who pines for those old days when he drove a truck and when his adversary was corn pop, not Putin have no sense.

We literally have lost more to fentanyl than Vietnam. The tales of human trafficking that the Blue MAGAs pretend away, which the progressive SwampMedia won't tell, break the hearts of people who have one.

Curt loves to tell the part of the story which has these people being asylum seekers. He NEVER notes that they are asylum seekers who crossed the border illegally and that it's the Flatulent Fool who's pretending that the US has no southern border.

"Curt loves to tell the part of the story which has these people being asylum seekers. He NEVER notes that they are asylum seekers who crossed the border illegally" --HtS

No they didn't. The first step in seeking asylum is simply to arrive in the US. That can be done by walking across a border wading across the river or arriving by ship or airplane as a tourist and simply declaring your intention to seek asylum.

It's also a non-issue if any of the asylum seekers said that they were glad that they ended up in Martha's Vineyard.

Years ago before the internet and travel agencies had offices I worked for a company in which I traveled internationally. Once I needed to fly to Monterrey Mexico so one of the secretaries ordered tickets from the local travel agency for that destination. Instead I got back tickets from Monterey California. Now if I got on the plane and ended up in that lovely California town I might have said that I was happy to be there.

You're so full of it, Curt.

The first step in seeking asylum is simply to arrive in the US.

You're uneducated on the asylum process.

So, cross the border as a wetback. As far as the Former Truck Driver's concerned, you're in like Flynn.

Thank you for the confirmation in the link Donna. I'm hardly the first to notice it but people who are conservative are generally ill-informed and vice versa.
