Simple question. Do you believe that Pence should have sent the ballots back and refused to certify the election as Trump wanted him to be "brave" enough to, or was he right in doing it the way he did it?

It's a yes or no question, but let's see how many words it takes for Hate to manage to not use either of them in his answer.

Comments on "Should Pence Have Done What Trump Wanted Him To?":

  1. by Ponderer on June 20, 2022 10:43 pm

I'll start. My answer is no. Of course not. Pence absolutely did the right thing by fulfilling his constitutional duty. I still think he's an asshole of a politician. But at least in this instance, he actually did his duty under the law.

    Who's with me...?

  2. by islander on June 21, 2022 3:55 am

I'm with you, but I also think there are a lot of who people wish Pence had done what Trump told him to do and that it would have worked. Trump would now be president. Anything they had do to ensure this would have been worth it to them. There are certainly plenty who are angry that he didn't.

  3. by HatetheSwamp on June 21, 2022 4:04 am

    Yo!

I thought the rule is a one word answer. Sheeeeeeeeeeeesh. You Blue MAGAs!

  4. by islander on June 21, 2022 5:27 am
What made you say that, Hate ?

  5. by HatetheSwamp on June 21, 2022 5:30 am
    isle,

    "It's a yes or no question..." ~po

  6. by islander on June 21, 2022 6:01 am

That wasn't a rule, it was an observation that it "could be" answered with a simple yes or no. Read at Ponderer's own answer...and she was right about you,

"but let's see how many words it takes for Hate to manage to not use either of them in his answer."

So far, you've said a lot, but you haven't even attempted to actually answer her question.

  7. by HatetheSwamp on June 21, 2022 6:08 am

Read at Ponderer's own answer...and she was right about you

Perhaps citing po as an authority isn't you best path.

"but let's see how many words it takes for Hate to manage to not use either of them in his answer."

Right. Her point was that pb wouldn't comply with the rule. Ba!

So far, you've said a lot, but you haven't even attempted to actually answer her question.

I'll double check with Curt, if necessary, but I think participation on SS is voluntary. Bahahahahahahahahahaha.

  8. by islander on June 21, 2022 6:23 am
No matter how you try to spin it...Ponderer was right about you.

  9. by HatetheSwamp on June 21, 2022 6:40 am

    The point is, po warn't.

  10. by islander on June 21, 2022 7:14 am
    Hate...you just contradicted yourself. LoL

I think you've had too much coffee this morning!

  11. by Curt_Anderson on June 21, 2022 8:31 am
No. Pence should not have done what Trump wanted him to do.

By my count HtS is over 100 words without responding to ponderer's yes or no question.

  12. by Ponderer on June 21, 2022 8:36 am

Hate, Isle made it perfectly clear that his answer was an emphatic "yes". He then went on to elaborate on it, but his answer was easy to understand.

It need only be a one word answer if brevity were important to someone, but there was no rule that it had to be only one word. This is a "chat" room for pete's sake.

And Isle nailed you, Bill. Out of all the words you've blathered on this thread, none of them even hint at what your one word answer would be. Which is as you designed it.

The amount of cognizant dissonance it would create in your skull to give a yes or no answer to that question would probably turn your brain to guacamole.

So I get why you are stalling and distracting and obfuscating.

It was absolutely expected. You never disappoint.

  13. by Ponderer on June 21, 2022 8:38 am

As I stated in my opening post, Hate was going to use a bunch of words to not answer the question. I was right about him, as Isle said I was.

    👍, Isle.

  14. by Donna on June 21, 2022 8:40 am
    No.

Your turn now, Hate. Yes or no? I also predict you won't answer yes or no. That's like predicting if the sun will rise tomorrow morning.

"Yes" or "No", Hate. Pick one.

  15. by Ponderer on June 21, 2022 8:42 am

And I meant to say Isle meant no, Pence should not have done what Trump wanted.

  16. by Ponderer on June 21, 2022 8:44 am

All you need do to prove me wrong is post Yes or No, Bill. You can use more words than that if you want to.

    But he won't.

  17. by Ponderer on June 21, 2022 8:45 am
    ..

I hate how you can't edit comments in this thing.

  18. by Donna on June 21, 2022 8:48 am
I've noticed that if you present a question to Hate that creates cognitive dissonance in his mind, he either obfuscates the question, changes the subject, or runs away.

  19. by HatetheSwamp on June 21, 2022 8:49 am

And Isle nailed you, Bill. Out of all the words you've blathered on this thread, none of them even hint at what your one word answer would be. Which is as you designed it.

Actually, po, it's effin YOU designed it.

Why did you challenge me to reply with one word? Me specifically. No one else!

Honestly, it's a decent question. It's a shame you had to muddle it with your blatant peebaphobia.

  20. by HatetheSwamp on June 21, 2022 8:52 am

Your turn now, Hate. Yes or no? I also predict you won't answer yes or no. That's like predicting if the sun will rise tomorrow morning.

"Yes" or "No", Hate. Pick one.

Why me? No one else has.

  21. by Donna on June 21, 2022 8:52 am
LOL! He still won't answer yes or no!!!!

  22. by Donna on June 21, 2022 8:54 am
Hate has opted to go with technique #1, obfuscating the question.

  23. by Ponderer on June 21, 2022 8:54 am

Bill, you go ahead and take as many words as you want to answer it. You only need one word, but knock yourself out using as many as you want to. Just so long as it's clear whether you are essentially saying yes or no.

Your obfuscation is in rare form today boy I tell ya what.

  24. by Curt_Anderson on June 21, 2022 8:56 am

Don't be too hard on HtS. Angry indecision is typical of age related dementia.

  25. by HatetheSwamp on June 21, 2022 8:56 am

I hate how you can't edit comments in this thing.

To be fair, Curt has made some nice minor tweaks.

BTW, pb fixed all the post being in italics.

  26. by Donna on June 21, 2022 8:57 am
I have a feeling that Hate has always been that way, Curt.

  27. by HatetheSwamp on June 21, 2022 8:58 am

Don't be too hard on HtS. Angry indecision is typical of age related dementia.

    huh

  28. by Donna on June 21, 2022 8:59 am
Now Hate has opted to move on from technique #1 to technique #2, changing the subject.

  29. by HatetheSwamp on June 21, 2022 9:00 am

    Huh

  30. by Ponderer on June 21, 2022 9:04 am

No, this is his, "Pretend to be a mentally retarded moron" tactic..

Bill can't answer the question, as I suggested, because his head would explode.

  31. by Donna on June 21, 2022 9:08 am
"Obfuscate the question" includes a technique of his which I call the "rope-a-dope", which he just employed there.

  32. by Donna on June 21, 2022 9:10 am
You just gave him an excuse to employ technique #2, "change the subject", hon.

  33. by Donna on June 21, 2022 9:11 am
I guarantee that Hate is enjoying all of this attention he's receiving.

  34. by HatetheSwamp on June 21, 2022 9:14 am

Y'know, gang, waaaaaaaaaay back in the day, maybe even before Ponderer and Power to the People showed up, I suggested to Curt that he pay pb a stipend because of how significantly discussion, on the Religion Board, especially, was driven by pb's participation. He didn't do it, but it certainly would have been justified.

Now, so much ado about pb typing a single word? Oy!

  35. by HatetheSwamp on June 21, 2022 9:16 am

Enjoy it? Yeah, like the kids everyone picks on during recess, enjoys recess.

  36. by Ponderer on June 21, 2022 9:18 am

Oh it's okay. I never expected him to be mentally capable of answering this simple question.

It's times like this when presented with the opportunity to defend his own true feelings and beliefs that he becomes the most cowardly and asinine. He is absolutely petrified of actually committing verbally to what he is in actuality fully committed to in his head. But he realizes the inherent contradictions and paradoxes that his beliefs are bursting full of. He knows he couldn't explain how there's any rational way to think the way he does. So if he doesn't ever explain it, it's not a problem for him.

  37. by Donna on June 21, 2022 9:18 am
I'm interested in why you're refusing to answer the yes or no question my wife asked. Note that we all correctly predicted that you woukdn't answer it "yes" or "no" because we've seen you do this so often.

  38. by Ponderer on June 21, 2022 9:19 am

"Enjoy it? Yeah, like the kids everyone picks on during recess, enjoys recess." -Hate

All you need do is defend yourself and answer the question.

  39. by HatetheSwamp on June 21, 2022 9:31 am

    I don't believe that for a minute.

You keep taping that "Kick me" sign on my back.

  40. by Ponderer on June 21, 2022 9:40 am

    Okay then. Fine.

Since you find it impossible to answer the question with anything vaguely approaching a meaning of yes or no, as I fully knew you would, perhaps you can explain to us what the tremendous difficulty for you. I can answer the question. Donna, Isle, and Curt can answer the question. Any ot Trump's MAGA hatted supporters could answer the question.

Can you tell us why it is so impossible only for you to answer it?

BTW, if you don't, I will. But I want to give you a chance first.

I always give you a chance first.

  41. by Donna on June 21, 2022 9:48 am
I forgot to mention a 4th technique that Hate employs to handle cognitive dissonance. Actually it's not so much a separate technique, but the usual outcome of any or all of the techniques, and that is "wear them down until they give up".

  42. by Ponderer on June 21, 2022 11:28 am

I'll even give you one last chance to explain and defend yourself.

  43. by HatetheSwamp on June 21, 2022 11:59 am

    Defend myself?

    Against?

  44. by Ponderer on June 21, 2022 12:52 pm

In this amusing case, all that is required for you to defend yourself is for you to simply answer yes or no to a very simple question.

  45. by Ponderer on June 21, 2022 12:54 pm

You are being asked to defend yourself against the allegation that you are too much of a coward to stand behind your beliefs even by simply saying what they are.

  46. by HatetheSwamp on June 21, 2022 1:06 pm
    Me?

How is it that only I am allowed only one word?

  47. by Ponderer on June 21, 2022 1:11 pm

"Bill, you go ahead and take as many words as you want to answer it. You only need one word [to answer it], but knock yourself out using as many [words] as you want to. Just so long as it's clear whether you are essentially saying yes or no." -My Post, #23 of This Thread You Blithering Moron

Also as I said, your obfuscation is in rare form today.

  48. by HatetheSwamp on June 21, 2022 1:18 pm

What pb has said all along:

"...The most penetrating evidence was the debunking of the suitcase allegation out of Georgia. However, once again, the highly scripted hearing would likely have been more impactful with Republican and independent voters if there was actual balanced questioning.

Such questioning would not, in my opinion, have seriously undermined this powerful testimony from Republican political and election officials. However, the hearing so carefully choreographed and controlled that it may have reduced the penetration with many voters." -Jonathan Turley

    Bingo.

pb is convinced that no one is being reached. Y'nes are already prepared to string Trump up. No one else cares.

  49. by Ponderer on June 21, 2022 1:30 pm

Obfuscation by employing someone else's words, which were totally irrelevant to the question titling this thread, as a pathetic human shield.

The putrid sty of lameness that you giddily wallow in is a disgusting thing to behold.

So do you think Trump should have done what Trump wanted him to?

  50. by HatetheSwamp on June 21, 2022 1:33 pm

    Pence?

  51. by Ponderer on June 21, 2022 1:37 pm

    So you ARE paying attention.

Yes. Do you think Pence should have done what Trump wanted him to?

  52. by HatetheSwamp on June 21, 2022 2:32 pm

So do you think Trump should have done what Trump wanted him to? ~po

  53. by Donna on June 21, 2022 7:18 pm
Hate wants to say "yes", but he knows if he says that, he'll be admitting that he supports breaking the law.

  54. by Ponderer on June 21, 2022 8:18 pm

Or Hate wants to say no, but he knows that if he says that, he'll be admitting that the Big Lie was all really just a big lie and that he knows Trump was lying all along about what he told his supporters Pence could do.

  55. by Curt_Anderson on June 21, 2022 8:29 pm
I believe that Ponderer and Donna are both correct. HtS wanted to answer yes AND no. It's a case of cognitive dissonance.

  56. by Ponderer on June 21, 2022 8:37 pm

    A terminal case, Curt...

  57. by HatetheSwamp on June 22, 2022 3:43 am

    Okay. Gang!

It's the next day. pb both:

    1. Enjoyed the attention, and,
    2. Continues to be miffed that he, alone, was restricted to a one word reply. Discrimination is such a Blue MAGA thing. po can be so cruel.

So, pb won't give in to discrimination. He will be the Rosa Parks of SS. He won't actually answer but he'll drop two bread crumbs. He's certain that even you woke TDS Swampcultists will figure it out.

+ pb's been calling Trump despicable since 2016.
+ pb denounced the Capitol riot when it was happening.

    TDS. It's an ugly thing.

    Sheeeeeeeeeeeesh!

  58. by Ponderer on June 22, 2022 8:16 am

"Continues to be miffed that he, alone, was restricted to a one word reply. Discrimination is such a Blue MAGA thing. po can be so cruel." -HaterofReality

    Um...

"Bill, you go ahead and take as many words as you want to answer it. You only need one word [to answer it], but knock yourself out using as many [words] as you want to. Just so long as it's clear whether you are essentially saying yes or no." -My Posts, #23 and #47 of This Thread, Now Posted AGAIN Here, Making It THREE FUKKING TIMES For You, You Blithering, Demented, Willfully Blind Moron

He just keeps creating his own reality as he mindlessly goes along. He is so much like his Orange God. Making up reality to suit himself. Ignoring reality and truth unless it will give him what he wants. He's such a willfully ignorant mutherfukking asshole. And he's proud of it! Just like his Orange God.

If only pb had gone and fukked himself all those years ago when I first told him he desperately needed to. We could have all been saved so much of his asinine, blinkered stupidity.

  59. by Ponderer on June 22, 2022 8:17 am

Curt... I think he has flatlined..........

  60. by HatetheSwamp on June 22, 2022 8:20 am

    Just follow pb's bread crumbs.

He just keeps creating his own reality as he mindlessly goes along. He is so much like his Orange God.

Uh uh. pb had endorsed Ron DeSantis.

  61. by Ponderer on June 22, 2022 8:35 am

Have you gone and fukked yourself yet, Bill? You absolutely need to. I'm being totally serious here, Bill.

Because I'm afraid I won't be wasting anymore time on your asinine, juvinile, pig-ignorant bullshit. I'll check back occasionally to see if you've finally gone and fukked yourself yet. But bullshit regurgitating mutherfukking assholes like you rarely change. So I am not very optimistic. You're a bullshit regurgitating mutherfukking asshole, and you will likely remain a bullshit regurgitating mutherfukking asshole.

I'm sorry for the deleterious effects it will have on you, having the attention from me that you so desperately need for your very survival taken away like this so abruptly (Have someone tie you to a chair and put a gag in your mouth until you are past the worst of it). But I have to say that you've left me with no alternative.

    🖕

  62. by HatetheSwamp on June 22, 2022 8:51 am

So, po. You asked a totally asinine question. pb gave you a clever-ish answer.

    And, you can't handle that.

  63. by Donna on June 22, 2022 10:08 am
Good grief Bill, she only asked you whether or not Mike Pence should have followed Trump's order to send those ballots back to the states. That's hardly a tough decision to make. I think you have a yes or no response but are afraid to post it.

  64. by HatetheSwamp on June 22, 2022 12:13 pm

Good grief, Donna, the question was not directed to pb. It was a question for anyone and everyone.

The part that was directed only to pb is the answer in one word part.

pb asserts that, based on his record, since Trump was elected in 016, there's no reason for pb to have participated. He may not have, had po not made this about him.

  65. by Donna on June 22, 2022 2:04 pm
It was posed as a yes or no question to everyone, and everyone but you answered "no".

Unless you say otherwise, I will assume that your answer to the question is "yes".

  66. by islander on June 22, 2022 2:25 pm
Hate's answer undoubtably would be "yes" which is why he is entertaining us (trying anyway) with his silly dances instead of answering the simple question. Anything would be better than having Joe as our president (in Hate's mind) even if it meant illegally turning over an election.

I wish Hate had taken dancing lessons though! 😁

  67. by HatetheSwamp on June 22, 2022 3:20 pm

Unless you say otherwise, I will assume that your answer to the question is "yes".>/b>

C'mon man, gimme a break. pb already gave all the answer he's going to give.

    Okay.

  68. by Donna on June 22, 2022 5:09 pm
Could you please repost that in bolder type? I had trouble reading it.

  69. by Donna on June 22, 2022 5:10 pm
Hts: Why do you believe that Pence should have sent the ballots back and refused to certify the election?

  70. by HatetheSwamp on June 23, 2022 4:13 am

What do you think!!!!!? You're smart. Well, smarter than "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap," at least!

pb denounced the riot contemporaneously. He's been saying Trump's despicable since before he took the oath of office!

pb will say that you Doddering Old Fart-lovers really have gleefully taken your marching orders from Liz Cheney!

It's like you can't imagine thinking beyond the false narrative created by the Committee.

  71. by islander on June 23, 2022 5:34 am
Donna- Hate is never going to tell you why he believes that Pence should have sent the ballots back and refused to certify the election.

But he doesn't have to. He wanted Trump to win the election! That's why he voted for him (twice) ! 😎

  72. by HatetheSwamp on June 23, 2022 5:53 am

    Yeah. Twice. Out of four.

pb only voted for Trump when you Blue MAGA Swampcult wokesters gave him no alternative.

  73. by Donna on June 23, 2022 7:58 am
Hate's answer, "What do you think" is tantamount to an admission that he thinks that Pence should have followed Oranguman's instructions.

Hate comes across as a nihilist. I don't think that he has any love for our democratic republic. He seems to measure everything in life by how much entertainment it brings him.

If civil war erupted here, I don't believe for a second that he would be saddened by it. I think he would enjoy every minute of entertainment it brought him.

Of course I could be wrong. I can't read his mind. But that's the impression I get.

  74. by HatetheSwamp on June 23, 2022 8:15 am

Hate's answer, "What do you think" is tantamount to an admission that he thinks that Pence should have followed Oranguman's instructions.

The OD's right after all. You DON'T think.

  75. by Donna on June 23, 2022 8:22 am
Okay, then I'll take your answer as no, you don't think that Pence should have followed Trump's instructions.

  76. by HatetheSwamp on June 23, 2022 8:36 am

If you would, jump to my new post in which I ask a question of po.

As I've said, I think that po's asked one of the best questions ever here on SS. Then po blew it by challenging pb to stick to a yes or no answer.

po's right. pb'd not be able to answer in one word...not because he's being evasive but because there's so much packed into the question.

  77. by islander on June 23, 2022 8:40 am

Donna- I don't know if you remember when hate was on the old board and was always railing against "Hedonism" ! He was very religious at that time, I think he still might have been a pastor. At any rate, posting for the pleasure/entertainment/attention it brings is "hedonistic". And he has made no secret of the fact that that's why he posts the stuff he does, he derives "pleasure" from the attention he gets! LoL !! 🤣

  78. by HatetheSwamp on June 23, 2022 8:51 am

He was very religious at that time

    isle, define religious.
