"At any rate, last year my brother watched a transgender power lifter come in and break every woman’s record in that competition. Women he knew who had trained for years watched this happen. It was very discouraging to everyone there to say the least." - islander
She was the epitome of self-centered.
In addition to Sheri and I, three transwomen friends of ours on Facebook -- btw, one is Juni who used to post here -- agree with us on this issue. Then there are those who are pretty militant in their support of transwomen athletes who want to compete along side of ciswomen. Most of them are millennials and Zoomers (Gen Z). We've been in some pretty heated arguments with them.
It disgusts Sheri and I that the Democratic Party along with the entire left media have thrown their enthusiastic support behind transwomen athletes competing with ciswomen. I don't spend much time watching political shows, so it could be that I've missed examples that are counter to what I've seen, but I don't recall seeing anyone on MSNBC or any other left or Democratic media outlet who has represented our side on this issue.
I'm in full agreement with Bill Maher that woke-ism has gone off the deep end.

Regards to Juni.
I read today that Megan Rapinoe, the US soccer player, said it's terrible if trans athletes are banned. On the other side of the issue, Sebastian Coe, a former record setting miler now a track official, indicted international track would take an approach to similar to the swimming body.
Athletic competition should be a contest of skill, endurance and effort between people of the same class. Those classes could be age groups, weight or gender. Maybe height or some other characteristic is a consideration in some sports.
