A big lie.

But will Hate reexamine his position on any of it at all? Will he realize and admit how gullible and willfully ignorant he's been for so long and how adamantly disdainful he is of the truth and reality when it doesn't suit his own selfish, unAmerican, and deluded hallucinations?

In a pig's eye he will.

He'll stick right to his guns that the election was stolen from his Orange Lord and Master even though he hasn't got a shred of evidence (no one ever had) to support any such irrational nonsense. Like his beloved and worshiped Mango Messiah, he will never concede defeat no matter what. He will never admit how ludicrously wrong he's been all along. How Biden electorally beat the flaming pants off his Golden God. He'll continue to blow off and disparage these hearings that will continue to do nothing but definitively prove the heinous crimes of his cult's mendacious leader.

Hate and his brain damaged compatriots had no case even before these hearings started. And what the hearings are doing now is conclusively and without the possibility of denial proving that Trump was willfully and knowingly lying to Hate and all the other MAGA zombies when he told them anything other than the fact that he lost the election. Some of whom totally swallowed his bullshit and violently acted upon his lies and attacked the Capitol in an organized assault in order to facilitate Trump staying in office.

If Hate were to admit how wrong he's been all this time and admit that all evidence shows that Trump lost the election, I would congratulate him about his revelation and drop the issue of his willful blindness regarding the 2020 election altogether.

But I fear he is far too weak and terrified a person and his ego too fragile and based on nothing for him to ever do such a moral, mature, and sane thing.

And the beauty of these hearings is that the committee's witnesses are Trump's own people !!! 🍻

  2. by HatetheSwamp on June 13, 2022 10:26 am

Y'know, as I watch this stuff, it's occurred to me, many times, that if even I could cross examine this testimony, I could neutralize it.

I think you could see, we're you not a willing prisoner of you TDS driven subjectivity, why the Dems won't allow uninfected GOPs to question the witnesses.

And, I think that any independents and moderates who may still be watching can tell that.

  3. by Curt_Anderson on June 13, 2022 10:27 am
Can you imagine these hearings if they allowed Coatless Jim Jordan and what other Trump-nuts that Kevin McCarthy nominated to be on the committee?

  4. by Curt_Anderson on June 13, 2022 10:33 am
    HtS,
Be our guest. Show us how you'd neutralize the witnesses testimony.

Trump allies assembled a "war room" to counterprogram and refute the committee findings. So far, other than sniping that the hearings are "boring" and "nothing new".

Bill Krystol said Trump and company have their counterprogramming, but no counter evidence.

  5. by HatetheSwamp on June 13, 2022 10:37 am

Bill Krystol is more virulently afflicted with the Swamp disease than is Lizzy.

  6. by Curt_Anderson on June 13, 2022 10:41 am
    HtS,
You still got nothing. No refuting of the facts? Where is that neutralizing you said you could do?

The best you have is admitting that Bill Krystol isn't afflicted with your delusions.

  7. by Ponderer on June 13, 2022 10:43 am

"Y'know, as I watch this stuff, it's occurred to me, many times, that if even I could cross examine this testimony, I could neutralize it." -Hate

Dear god the astounding immensity of your pig-ignorant ego.

I love how Hate seems to believe that if his MAGA Republican co-conspirators were allowed to "question" the witnesses, they'd do anything other than misdirect, misrepresent, obfuscate, ludicrously change the subject, and just flat out lie to save their Lord and Master from eventually being held accountable for his actions.

That's the way Hate believes you get at the truth. What a blithering moron.

  8. by Ponderer on June 13, 2022 10:44 am

"Be our guest. Show us how you'd neutralize the witnesses testimony. -Curt

Like hell he will. Ever. He can't show anyone what does not exist.

  9. by HatetheSwamp on June 13, 2022 10:55 am

"I love how Hate seems to believe that if his MAGA Republican co-conspirators..."

    Wow!

At least, po didn't align me with the Ultra-MAGAs! Bahahahahahahahahahaha!

Hey, po, Curt and isle. Watch, say, THE FIVE (5:00 pm EDT) on Fox. I promise you that they'll knock this stuff outta the park like Roberto Clemente would a hanging slider.

Why do you think Dems won't allow the other side to participate!!!!!?

They know that, and po says this'ne, too, they got nuthin!

  10. by Ponderer on June 13, 2022 10:58 am

I may just tape my eyes open, strap myself to the couch, and attempt to withstand doing exactly what you suggest, Hate. Just so I can blow everything you later say it accomplished outta the freaking water.

  11. by HatetheSwamp on June 13, 2022 11:05 am

    po, Curt and isle,

The right wing media never had trouble answering this stuff. Will it satisfy you? Of course not. But, imagine this stuff being raised when competent counsel can respond.

Actually, po, I'm not asking you to imagine it. You're total lynch mob. I get that.

  12. by Curt_Anderson on June 13, 2022 11:10 am
So report, HtS, whatever the FIVE refutes. I am sure it will be compelling and convincing... not.

  13. by Ponderer on June 13, 2022 11:14 am

"But, imagine this stuff being raised when competent counsel can respond."

So Hate, is it your contention that the sixty (60) courts that all looked at the cacophony of "evidence" Trump's "attorneys" presented to them that supposedly supported Trump's Big Lie were not competent or legitimate courts?

The evidence being presented at these hearings is just that: Evidence. Facts. Testimonies under oath.

So you think a really "competent" lawyer could cross examine witnesses in these hearings and expose that they didn't really see and hear what they saw and heard?

You aren't, and never are making any sense.

  14. by Ponderer on June 13, 2022 11:17 am

Curt, if I don't have to be out of the house at the time, I'm going to try to watch The FIVE today so I can point out all of Hate's lies about it. I'll probably even take notes. And have to take a shower afterwards.

  15. by Ponderer on June 13, 2022 11:25 am

    "You're total lynch mob." -Hate

I was wondering what was keeping you from taking your projection off its gun rack. But then you always bring it out eventually.

I am perfectly content to allow the law and justice to work its way on Trump. And I will NOT be calling for attacks on the Capitol with bear mace, tasers, and baseball bats, or to lynch any public officials or judges because they went in a direction I didn't like.

You're thinking of Republicans. You're thinking of Trump supporters. You're thinking of all the MAGA-hatted psychopaths who have been supporting The Big Lie.

  16. by Curt_Anderson on June 13, 2022 11:43 am
    Ponderer,
I have never watched The FIVE and I won't start today. Knowing the usual FOX and Trumpian "arguments" against the committee's evidence it will probably be an hour about gas prices and tampon shortages. Maybe there will be accusations that the witnesses who were employed by Trump are really RINOs or Never-Trumpers.

I predict too that HtS won't be able to debunk anything said by quoting The FIVE or anything else.

And you are right about "competent counsel". They are 0 and 62. Some of those "Stop the Steal" lawyers working for Trump have been admonished and worse by the courts for their frivolous, non-factual arguments.

  17. by HatetheSwamp on June 13, 2022 11:44 am

I'm thinking of you proclaiming Derek Chauvin guilty even before the prosecution rested.

  18. by islander on June 13, 2022 12:02 pm

Hate still doesn't understand what the job of this committee is. He thinks it's a trial or at least he is trying to argue as if it were a trial.

The evidence the committee has gathered will be handed over to the Justice Department. If they think it's likely that Trump committed a crime he will be indicted and then he will be tried and evidence will be submitted, witnesses will be questioned and cross examined etc, and the jury will make its decision.

I'm finding these hearings absolutely fascinating. It's quite an eye opener to both see and hear the testimony from Trump's close circle describing what was going on "behind the scenes" so to speak !!

It sounds to me like Hate thinks the witnesses that testified are lying. I would love to know who they are and what the lies were. I wonder if he thinks the videos they showed were Tampered with by the committee?

  19. by Curt_Anderson on June 13, 2022 12:04 pm
"I'm thinking of you proclaiming Derek Chauvin guilty even before the prosecution rested." _HtS

I only thought he was guilty after I watched him kneeling on George Floyd's neck for nine minutes. I was undecided for the first six minutes or so.

Have you made decision about John Wilkes Booth yet?

  20. by Curt_Anderson on June 13, 2022 12:12 pm
    Islander,
I agree the hearings are good television. Enthralling.

Besides putting the onus on the DOJ to at least investigate and maybe prosecute, they are making a not-subtle case for the court of public opinion. That Trump is pocketing the donations (again) for the supposed legal costs to "Stop the Steal", must give some of the gullible fools who sent Trump money second thoughts. The RNC is according to Michael Steele giving about the half the money they raise to Trump. If there is con man and grifter hall of fame, Trump needs to be enshrined there.

  21. by HatetheSwamp on June 13, 2022 12:21 pm

Hate still doesn't understand what the job of this committee is.

    UNDERSTAND. Bahahahahahahahahahaha!

The evidence the committee has gathered will be handed over to the Justice Department. If they think it's likely that Trump committed a crime he will be indicted and then he will be tried and evidence will be submitted, witnesses will be questioned and cross examined etc, and the jury will make its decision.

    pb gets that.

What he doesn't UNDERSTAND is what purpose the Show Trial serves. Since this is the case, the presentation of this testimony can only compromise a conviction of Trump for these, uh, crimes. If conviction is the goal. Hoohoohoohoohoohoohoo.

I can't help but be convinced that the Committee has, in po's jargon, "got nuthin," and they know it.

If the Committee really thinks there's any criminal charge to be brought, it's being idiotic. This can only interfere with that. But, a political diversion when the Former Truck Driver's polls set new records nearly every day?

Worth a try. It's not working, so far, at least.

President Clouseau is, by far now, the most unpopular President in the history of polling!

Anything to attempt to change the story, eh!!!!!?

  22. by Ponderer on June 13, 2022 1:50 pm

You bitch and moan about information NOT being presented, and you bitch and moan about information being presented.

There is literally no pleasing you.

The information has been collected and documented and is now being presented to the public. I don't recall you raising a peep about the years of asinine and pointless Republican hearings into Hillary Clinton.

The only purpose those hearings served was to illustrate quite eloquently just how long Republicans can make a pointless, baseless stink out of nothing whatsoever if they think it's going to help them at the polls.

  23. by Ponderer on June 13, 2022 1:52 pm

Dear god. Everything you are posting about is just so flat out wrong or a lie that it would take hours refuting it all.

  24. by HatetheSwamp on June 13, 2022 2:19 pm

    po!

The Sussmann jury wasn't pressed by the evidence Durham's gang presented.

That's how it works with evidence. Duh!

  25. by islander on June 13, 2022 2:52 pm

"pb gets that. What he [Hate & pb] doesn't UNDERSTAND is what purpose the Show Trial serves"

No, you don't understand why they are not conducting this like a trial.

I know "also" you don't understand what purpose these hearings serve.

  26. by HatetheSwamp on June 13, 2022 3:07 pm

I don't know what the purpose is. And, I was listening to former Federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy, one of the right's go to legal experts, while I was listening to that gay Guy Curt's never heard of, and he said that the lack of clear purpose is a serious problem.

Now, I know that you are an expert in UNDERSTANDING. So, if you can enlighten Andy and me....

  27. by HatetheSwamp on June 13, 2022 3:35 pm

So, how many of you Blue MAGA Swampcultists watched THE FIVE?

  28. by Curt_Anderson on June 13, 2022 3:57 pm
As promised, I did not watch. What points refuting the hearing's evidence did they make that "knocked it out of the park"?

  29. by Ponderer on June 13, 2022 4:28 pm

I watched it, Hate. I actually did.

I performed this degrading act in order to see just how they were going to cover the hearings so that I would know when Hate was lying about what was said.

Curt, they made no points at all about it. Fox's problem with the hearings is the fact that they are happening and are being broadcast to the public.

Fox and it's talking heads can in no way contradict any of the evidence or facts that are being presented in the hearings. And these five representatives of theirs proceeded not to the entire show. The FIVE weren't going to have any evidence to present, for example, that Barr didn't emphatically tell Trump that the malarkey he was basing his claims of election and voter fraud on were "bullshit". They had nothing to present in contradiction or actual debate.

When I watched for about 15 minutes and realized that they weren't going to be addressing anything actually from the hearings, I knew there was going to be nothing to take notes on. They made a couple snide and ignorant offhand comments regarding the hearings with brief, hyperbolic, asinine assertions about it while talking about other things. But they weren't going to be actually covering it like journalists at all in the hour. And they didn't.

At the 2:15pm (my time) point or so, they began decrying how the Times and Left and the lib'rul media hadn't covered the aborted attack on Justice Kavanaugh. They cited how Bill Maher called the lefty media out for it and played an excerpt from his last show. Donna and I even agreed with Maher when we watched it at the time. But this was an excoriatable offense as far as the panel was concerned about though. The idea of not covering such a gigantic story!

And I had to laugh out loud at the flaming, bald-faced hypocrisy of this coming from a corporate media organization camouflaged as a journalistic enterprise that sacrificed hundreds of thousands of dollars in ad revenue to keep their viewers locked to their lies and from covering the most historically important hearings since Watergate. That was pretty damned rich.

Wow, Ponderer, way to take one for the team!

So the FIVE not only didn't "knock it out of the park", they didn't even get up to bat.

  33. by Ponderer on June 13, 2022 4:59 pm

They didn't even show up for the game, Curt!

    BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!!

  34. by Ponderer on June 13, 2022 5:01 pm

    So... you asked, Hate.

What did you want to ask some Blue MAGA Swampcultist who watched it about..............?

  35. by HatetheSwamp on June 13, 2022 5:16 pm

    Wow, po. You impress me.

Honestly, I expected that the hearings would open the show.

Fox, of course, is a stunning ratings success. It's the normal thing these days for Fox's ratings to be greater than MSNBC and CNN combined in every hour of the day.

You'll have to trust me on this, but it's true. Clearly someone made an editorial judgment that Fox won't cover any aspect of the 020 election. I thought that they'd make an exception for this fiasco. I was wrong.

There were some comments, I understand, earlier in the day while the hearings were happening, but that was news reporting not commentary.

Fox News Radio shows do pollute themselves. That gay Guy Curt's never heard of devoted nearly two hours to the hearings.

He's not a big Trump fan, but he does think the hearings are a Show Trial.

  36. by Ponderer on June 13, 2022 5:34 pm

"Honestly, I expected that the hearings would open the show." -That Fat White Old Bald Guy

Well that was certainly not an exceptionally astute expectation on your part.

  37. by Ponderer on June 13, 2022 5:45 pm

So Bill, I would ask in all fairness that you deign to reciprocate and watch an hour of MSNBC tonight. Any hour. Take your pick. Rachel is on right now with a special panel show to go over the hearings so far anhd I'd highly recommend it.

But hey, just get back to us and let us know what hour you watched. Take notes on specific things you want to bring up here for debate. It'll be great!

  38. by Ponderer on June 13, 2022 6:41 pm

I think Lawrence O'Donnell will have a great show tonight, Hate.........

  39. by HatetheSwamp on June 14, 2022 4:55 am

    po,

I don't watch evening news. Evie controls the remote after THE FIVE ends but I do watch the 6:00 am ET hour of MORNING JOE, even though their babe can't compare to Ainsley Earhart, as a looker, anyway.

  40. by Ponderer on June 14, 2022 6:24 am

I'm sorry. I didn't realize that it was an actual physical impossibility for you to watch an hour of television of your choosing.

You know what you need to go do.
