Years ago, back in the heyday of the old forum, and before same sex marriage was foisted on America by the Supreme Court, there was an raging argument about whether ssm was a good thing.
pb held to two predictions steadfastly:
1. If same sex marriage is legalized, the percentage of people who are married will drop dramatically.
2. Ultimately, child poverty will increase.
Look at the article.
pb was bang on. As ssm became socially acceptable and was legalized democratically in some places, the number of marriages declined and since the foisting of same sex marriage the number of marriages is dropping dramatically.
I wrote HUNDREDS of posts explaining my reasoning in the past, so,...what I said then.
Mostly, though, I want to say, pb was right!
