On NPR's Weekend Edition this morning, Browder said when Putin is afraid the Russian people will resent his corruption and criminality and turn on him, he starts a war.

    I like the theory islander posted a couple of weeks ago about the 2.3 trillion cubic meters of natural gas that was discovered in 2012 off of Ukraine's southern coast and another natural gas source that was discovered the same year in Donbas. That could explain the annexation of Crimea in 2014 as well as the Russian-backed separatist uprising in Donbas the same year and this year's Feb 24 invasion.
