Speaking out after being censured by the Republican National Committee, Rep. Kinzinger (R-IL) shares with New Day what he will tell his son about former president Donald Trump.

"I'm going to tell him he was the worst president the United States of America ever had," Kinzinger said. "He was a liar. He was a charlatan."

He went on to say that Trump was "a man with a more fragile ego than anybody I've ever met," saying the former president "walks around like the tough guy, but he's the one that gets more offended and wounded and sad than anybody I know."

If that's why he voted for impeachment, he deserves to have been censured by his party.

And, because he voted for it before the facts were investigated, it seems that that was the case.

There was one article or charge in Trump's second impeachment. He was accused of inciting an insurrection. The definition of inciting is to encourage or stir up. It does not mean to plan.

Trump committed his crime in plain sight especially to the members of Congress. There was no need for a Columbo-like investigation.

Either you believe that Trump was riling people up to overturn the election (and still is) or you don't. Kinzinger believed he was. By the way, within the last week or so Trump actually used the term "overturn" in complaining that Mike Pence did not do what he asked him to do.

If there was justice, the election results probably could have been overturned. The Delaware County, Pennsylvania whistle-blower videos absolutely PROVE that there were serious shenanigans...not that that's the first evidence.

At the very least, Biden’s victory is dubious.

I disagree with Trump's take on the 1887 Electoral Count Act, which is the basis of the current brouhaha about Trump wanting Pence to have overturned election results. But, there's more evidence now than ever that, if the honest vote count could be known, the election results would be overturned.

Like many, I wish that Trump would move on and focus on the future.

Still, I believe now, with more reason than ever, that the smoke filled room handlers of "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" most likely cheated enough to change the honest result of the election.

Lol! And you accuse Biden of being demented!

  5. by HatetheSwamp on February 8, 2022 11:17 am

    Ahhhhh. Yes!

Just ever so slightly fewer than half of likely voters share my form of dementia...at least!

You can be as sanctimonious as you like but there is evidence that the Dems diddled the vote...and, try as much as you like to suggest that I'm a lonely demented soul, but the statistical reality is that tens of millions share my opinion and, in fact, many of those tens of millions have a stronger opinion than do I and are convinced that the smoke filled room handlers of "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap," without a doubt, absolutely stole the election.

Amazing, ain't. One year later and pb is actually moderate among people who question the election results.

    HtS,
I don't know why you are impressed that less than half of the Americans polled believe that the 2020 election was stolen. Scores of recounts, lawsuits and election audits by Trump's most zealous supporters failed to produce any evidence that Trump was the rightful winner.

People, sometimes most people, believe all manners of myths. Simply believing something, even if it is believed by a majority of people doesn't make it true. Here are some other examples of things that people falsely believe:

    Curt,

As we all know, there was proven voter fraud by the Republicans in the 2020 election. But voter fraud is insignificant because it is so difficult to pull off on any scale that would affect election results in our country.

However the Republicans are smart enough to know this as well the rest of us. So what they tried to do was distract the public by stirring up a cloud of smoke and mirrors with claims of massive voter fraud by the Dems, which was never proven and since it didn't happen, can’t be proven. But a lot of people were and are still fooled by Trump's false claims. In 2020 and before, the Republicans were seriously involved in attempting to perpetrate “election fraud” which is much more dangerous to our Democracy and it is all done behind the scenes, not by individual voters. The Republicans are still working vigorously in their efforts to undermine our free and fair elections. I have a great deal of faith that we the American people will put a stop to their nefarious actions to destroy our democracy. It's what we are now witnessing take place.

    Well, sorta.

There's a growing mountain of evidence, like this chain of evidence stuff from Delaware County PROVING without, any possible doubt, that Dems engaged in shenanigans. No doubt at all. The video makes it indubitable.

How many extra votes went to the Former 18 Wheeler Driver get from from this violation of state election law? None? 10? 100? 100,000?

This is the Dems' 2020 genius. There's no way to know. Ever.

Those, who knows how many?, votes are Joe's. Forever.

Still, the violation of election law has been recorded on video. Forever.

The reality is that, by dismissing the growing mountain of evidence of Dem cheating,...

...your side is the one holding on to myth.

Our, conviction, rooted in data, is truth.

And, it will be a while before we forget.

Biden won Pennsylvania by 80,555 votes. Are you saying Trump's legal team, all the Republican county clerks and supporters are so incompetent that they couldn't find identify 80,555 illegal votes?

  10. by HatetheSwamp on February 11, 2022 4:31 am

I am. That's what I've been saying all along. When you interrupt the chain of custody, it's impossible to determine if a vote is a legal vote.

That's the genius. Why do you think Dems in Philadelphia went to such great lengths to make certain that independent observers couldn't check the security envelopes? Once the chain of evidence is interrupted there's no way to determine if a vote is legal. It's just a vote and it can be counted a thousand times.

My guess is that the smoke filled room handlers of "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" diddled about 100,000 votes in Pennsylvania.
