I don't think that the article supports the headline but the party did, legitimately, censure, Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger for their involvement in the attempted hatchet job Dems call their investigation of January 6.

Isn't is a bit early to call the January Sixth Committee's investigation a "hatchet job"? I am not aware of the committee charging anybody with crimes or referring anybody to the DOJ to be charged. It's funny how you and people like you who claim the insurrection was a mostly peaceful protest, don't want any of it investigated.

You can count on the phrase "legitimate political discourse" being hung on the GOP by Democrats on talk shows and in other public appearances and in their campaign attack ads.

WARNING: Video includes harsh, offensive language by January Sixth rioters.

I think the GOP Resolution is in the link below.

They're not calling the riot legitimate political discourse.

    Curt,

    Whoa!

Don't try that with me. In 020, when the House Dems held an impeachment vote without investigating, I went bonkers over the injustice.
    The
The hatchet job is in Pelosi refusing to allow Republicans to place members they chose on the Committee.

The whole thing will always be a hatchet job, period.

    HtS,
McCarthy opposed any sort of investigation at all. Then when he realized that the Democrats would investigate the assault on the Capitol anyway, McCarthy wanted to place potential defendants on the investigation committee.

    C'mon man, gimme a break.

You're channeling Donna's convenient Jr. Hi Social Studies class naivéte.

You're describing every day procedural maneuvering in the House.

What Nancy's done is create a Committee whose findings will have no import and, if anything, in the end, provide Trump with talking points.
