There is growing fury inside ABC over Whoopi Goldberg’s controversial Holocaust claims, with insiders insisting that her apology isn’t enough and demanding that she be fired.

On Monday’s edition of “The View,” Goldberg, 66, alleged that the Holocaust was “not about race,” claiming Nazis and Jews were both white...

"Why does Whoopi seemingly get a pass when others don’t? Perhaps this time she won’t. Many at the network — including her fellow hosts — believe Whoopi is too controversial now for the show.”

The insider also told Page Six that the situation “isn’t just going to blow over.”

“This will cast a shadow over everything for a while. Even Joy Behar was heard saying backstage that Whoopi is ‘dead wrong’ and may not ever recover from this,” the source said. “Joy found this particularly troubling and couldn’t believe Whoopi wouldn’t stand corrected until she was forced.”

This woman is a just plain crazy hater. It's time for her to go! Long past time.

    If a person named Goldberg says the holocaust isn't about race, who am I to disagree?

    It does seem to me it was really mostly about religious bigotry at least as far as the Jews were considered. The Nazis didn't tolerate gays, mental retardation, political dissent, non-conformists, etc. and those weren't about race either. Not to say Nazis weren't also racists.

    You are the Karen in this story; complaining about something a Black person says or does.

    I am more bothered by Trump supporters who are holocaust deniers or even worse, holocaust supporters like the Camp Auschwitz guy and other insurrectionists.

    [Whoopi] Goldberg said instead [the Holocaust] was about "man's inhumanity to man" and that both groups of people were white.

    The longtime host of the talk show apologized on Monday night, saying on Twitter she had spoken to the head of the Anti-Defamation League about her comments.

    "As Jonathan Greenblatt of the Anti-Defamation League shared, 'The Holocaust was about the Nazi's systematic annihilation of the Jewish people -- who they deemed to be an inferior race.' I stand corrected," she wrote.

    "The Jewish people around the world have always had my support and that will never waiver. I'm sorry for the hurt I have caused," she added.


    Evidently we are supposed to use the Nazis' definition of race.

    I'm not a fan of Goldberg but, in this thread, I'm reporting that her comments have gotten her in trouble, even at THE VIEW...Even with Joy Behar.
