This is it. It's all over for the House January 6 Committee. Trump had nuthin to do with the riot.

Trump is a whiner and complainer. He's all talk. No action.

Anyone with an open mind and a working brain knew that the Capitol intrusion had nothing to do with Trump.

If you think anything else about January 6, find a shrink. You have TDS.

“All I see Trump doing is complaining,” Rhodes wrote, according to prosecutors. “I see no attempt by him to do anything. So the patriots are taking it in their own hands. They’ve had enough.”

Game. Set. Match!

You and the eye patch wearing guy Rhodes act like the insurrection was carefully planned. January 6th did not require Trump or anybody else to be like General Eisenhower preparing for D-Day.

Trump wasn't the organizer; he was the instigator. His culpability is much like that of a white girl in a 1950s southern town who falsely accuses a black teenager of rape and riles up a lynch mob.

I don't know if the January 6th committee has made it public, but Trump probably was aware of the activities of the coup plotters at the Willard Hotel. He was entertaining crackpots like Mike Lindell who was advocating for martial law. He was certainly derelict in his duties when for three hours he said nothing, didn't call in the National Guard and simply watched the riot on television.

    Evidence?

Rhodes said, essentially, that he did what he did in opposition to Trump!

Which part of the incursion was planned at the Willard?

    I despise Trump. I think he's despicable!

But, I'm not insane about it. I don't have TDS.

It seems to me that many Swampers are at the point that they're going to have to start wearing aluminum foil caps.

"Rhodes said, essentially, that he did what he did in opposition to Trump!" -HtS

So you think that the violent interruption of the congressional vote count formally certifying Biden's electoral win was in opposition to Trump?!?

    "Evidence?" --HtS

    Of what?

"Which part of the incursion was planned at the Willard?" HtS

Steve Bannon--to name one person--was among the coup plotters at the Willard. He predicted on his podcast a day before the riot that “all hell is going to break loose tomorrow."

John Eastman and Giuliani, who were at the Willard Hotel, had some convoluted notion that if the certification process could be stalled, it would necessitate a recount by the states and the election results could be changed.

Anyway, I explicitly said the January 6th riot wasn't so much planned as instigated.

As I've been saying. Rush talked every day about plotting to challenge the Electoral College vote. There was so secret about it. Trump and his gang were proud of the plan. And, optimistic.

Show me any Trumpers planning the incursion.

    HtS,
You must have a reading comprehension problem. I said the insurrection mob was instigated not that the insurrection was planned.

So, what evils were Trump and his henchmen perpetrating yonder at the Willard?

For starters, John C. Eastman's four-step plan for Donald Trump to retain the presidency despite having lost the 2020 election — in other words, for Trump to steal a second term in office.

Wikipedia explains Eastman's plan to overturn the election with dubious legal strategies.

    Key word being LEGAL!!!!!

That recent Quinnipiac poll shows that more than a third of Registered Voters still believe that there was "widespread voter fraud" behind Joe's victory.

Certainly, Trump is part of that crowd...and the one person who was wronged by it most directly.

The place that this inquiry landing is precisely where you described it. Trump pursued legal means to challenge election results.

He's still flapping his gums about it. I wish he'd stop.

The Oath Boys are being open about what happened. They were POed because all Trump wanted to do about the election that a third of Americans are convinced was stolen...was complain.

    Again,...

    ...I despise Trump. I think he's despicable.

But, evidence is making it abundantly clear that he's only pursued "legal means" to address the conviction of about 100,000,000 of us that Biden’s team achieved "widespread voter fraud" to win the election.

You've the heard the expression "you can sue a ham sandwich". There are many things that lawyers pull that are "legal" but unethical, irresponsible, dishonest, unconstitutional and not in the interest of justice.

Mob bosses, including Al Capone, have used a two front strategy to "beat the rap". One front was their mouth piece making a legal argument in the courtroom. The other front was their goons intimidating and bribing the jurors.

Trump's mouth pieces were Giuliani, Eastman, Sydney Powell and other lawyers. His goons were the mob that he exhorted to show strength, be strong and fight to "take back our country".

I think it's that you can INDICT a ham sandwich.

In the end, I suspect that OrangeMan won't be found culpable for anything that happened on January 6.
