You have checked the obvious things...it may be time for a new lamp. Is this lamp an antique or otherwise valuable?

Do you feel confident enough to replace a damaged or warn part? It might be something simple a like a faulty cord.

Bring your lamp into the hardware store. They may be able to advise you and sell you replacement parts.

If it's an unusual lamp which you are attached to, you might try Ebay or other online sources. That will also give you an idea of its worth.
Your options are to find an electrical repair shop or depending upon the repair cost and its worth, replace it.
Also look online, especially for your particular lamp. Other people may have had the same problem and know "the solution".
