In a box of books I picked up at an auction in the early 90's for a buck was a novel by Ira Levin titled "This Perfect Day." Not being a fan of the science fiction genre, I am surprised I ever read it, but I did; and over the years have been reminded of it from time to time in a sort of conspiracy theory sort of way. Now with all the debates on experimental H1N1 / Swine Flu vaccines being mandatory, universal healthcare, end of life counseling, and microchips embedded in humans, I am again reminded that Mr. Levin's notions of monthly injections or "treatments," complete Socialistic / Marxist uniformity, euthanasia, and Big Brother-like human tracking may not be that far fetched. At any rate, it is worth a read.
