Joel Osteen: 'Milt' and Barack are both Christians.

I have some problems with ol' Joel's definition of a Christian.

Who owns the copyright on the label "Christian?"

Obama and Romney both qualify as Christians by any common sense definition, though I'm content to let Romney lose the election because of Born-Again bigotry against Mormons.

Joel Osteen is the target of a lot of Born-Again hate, too, because he has realized their "culture wars" are a lost cause, and has moved on to personal empowerment/positive thinking/motivational seminar type stuff, consequently becoming the most successful Christian preacher on the scene today, much to the chagrin of old school anti-gay/porn/abortion/evolution conservatives.

You didn't read what I wrote. I said that the 'Christians' who are backing Milt, who is a Mormon, may be doing so rather than supporting Obama who is a Muslim.

Sardo, you aren't claiming not to know that more than a few Americans genuinely believe that Obama is a Muslim are you? Polls that I've seen over the last few years suggest that a surprisingly high number of GOPs. TPers and Fundamentalist Christians hold that opinion.

Well, your fellow Christophobes here often like to raise the question of what we Christians think is the definition of a Christian. Understanding that there are a variety of defnitions of that sort of thing, I'd say that, depending on the definition, yes. O is a Muslim. But, it'd have to be a very broad defintion.
