This isn't complicated. 2020 is a referendum on Trump.

The job of the Biden campaign is simple, and Trump is helping.

Australia's own Chinese Lesbian Minister for Climate Change has announced that she doesn't believe in gay marriage. Gay groups, appalled by this heresy, have already beginned with the torches and pitchforks.

It is written, ah, just look up 1 Jn 1:9

O is!
Sam,

I agree in one sense that some politicians will do that kind of trick just to get votes. But there are also politicians who were against same sex marriage.

You recall - if you can guess this elected official. He promoted abortion. He supported same sex marriage and He supported also marriage between man and a woman. In short, he can get all the votes all areas of life and He was elected.

God bless.

Duh, I know Pb. Which was precisely the point I was trying to make to you. winking smiley
In light of this, how can you not agree to calling hetrosexual sex hedonistic by the same account as you are calling homosexual sex hedonistic?

In the context of what you've posted (quote again for clarity) "it's simply hedonism to believe that a desire is its own justification", how is the engagement of sex for pleasure any different for homosexual compared to hetrosexuals? Why is homosexual sex unjustified, yet hetrosexual sex for the purpose of pleasure isn't so?

I don't see any real distinction between the two (i.e. its all just sex with the intent for pleasure to me; with accord to sexual-orientation of course), hence I am uncertain how you could rationalise disagreement to the following statement:
Quote

Its not just same sex sex that is hedonist. But ANY sex for the purpose of pleasure instead of making babies IS hedonistic. God design sex for making babies, not for wasteful spilling of His precious seed in rubber tubings.
Which I think follows quite naturally from the argument that you've put forth, regarding the hedonistic nature of same sex sex?

Perhaps this is a language problem.

I don't call any sex hedonistic because hedonism is a way of thinking. I have never called homosexual sex hedonistic. To do so would be meaningless. I have called pond, a homosexual, a hedonist because her thinking seems to be to reflect the values of hedonism. I have called her argument for same sex marriage hedonistic because it is. But, I have never called any type of sex hedonistic.

As I've said many times in the past,

Pb, I've interpreted the way I did since that statement follows immediately from the above bolded statement. It thus seems to be implying that homosexual sex for pleasure is somehow any different from hetrosexual sex for pleasure in terms of "justisfiability" -- i.e. That homosexuals should be celibate for no apparently good reasons.

You are misunderstanding me. As far as I know, all sex is for pleasure. It's how one thinks about pleasure that is what hedonism is.

I assume this is directed to jun. It immediately follows jun's post.

Again, directing you back to what you have said.
But what did you mean by saying:

if not what I've interpreted Pb?

Wade,

The comment you quoted is about a person's way of thinking about desire, not about sex.

1) beginned???
2) does australia also have a japanese lesbian minister for climate change? a korean lesbian minister for climate change? surely they have an aboriginal lesbian minister for climate change?
George, I believe the ALP rules state that elected members cannot publically oppose party policy, and will get kicked out if they vote against the party line in Parliament. Seeing as Wong is a minister she can hardly be expected to disagree with the party line.

As for Gillard, given she's an atheist I struggle to believe her when she says she's opposed to same sex marriage. I suppose she just doesn't want to fire up the nutters who make up Abbott's base even more. It's simply a pathetic lack of political courage and why if I still lived in Australia the ALP would only get my second or even third preference, depending who was on the ballot.

No, only a Chinese Lesbian Minister for Climate Change.

I don't see why being an atheist automatically makes her pro gay marriage. Just because 95% of the people here are like bad caricatures of liberal atheists, doesn't mean everyone is.
George, every person I've ever heard of who supports legal recognition for gay couples but opposes marriage equality does so on the grounds that marriage is sacred and its definition shouldn't change. There may be non-believers out there who think that, but I've never met them or heard from them.

BTW this is perhaps the most boring election campaign I've ever seen, even worse than the 2001 British election, which at least featured John Prescott throwing some punches.
