In an interview with Seth Meyers last night, he said, "I was just trying to keep warm".
I had a friend who wrote in a in a publication that I worked for: "90% of body heat is lost through the head. So if a person had a warm enough hat they ski naked comfortably." Bernie does not seem to be a hat wearing man. At least I don't recall ever seeing him wearing a hat.
Bernie avoids wearing hats because they mess up his hair.
I perused MOST of the comments. I must have skipped over the comment by Rube you referred to, Curt. I did enjoy reading your new post on forgiving your schadenfreude. You are forgiven. 
The Washington monument photo is interesting in that they put the bullet proof shield up for Joe and "Dr" Jill - but not for Kamala Hawwis and her hubby. I guess even the Secret Service doesn't want her to become prez.
It seems to me that workers may have been in the process of taking those barriers down, or maybe putting them up, when they decided to take that picture. It's actually behind the Bidens. Were they expecting sniper fire from atop the Washington Monument?
