Trump pardons fellow bilker who bilked Trump supporters with border wall scam

President Trump granted clemency on Tuesday to Stephen K. Bannon, the former White House chief strategist who was charged with defrauding political donors who supported building a border wall that Mr. Trump advocated, White House officials said.

Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon has been arrested after being charged with defrauding hundreds of thousands of donors through their campaign “We Build the Wall.”

Bannon, along with three of his associates were indicted by investigators at the U.S. Southern District of New York on Thursday. They allege that the group of conservative leaders defrauded donors and that led to raising “more than $25 million to build a wall along the southern border of the United States,” according to the press release.

Somewhere I heard during the Trump Era only something like 47 miles of wall was actually built. Does anyone know? Seems like an incredibly short distance for all the hoopla involved.

Actually only 15 miles of new wall was built where no wall or barriers existed previously. If you count new wall and replacement wall about three or four hundred miles was built. I posted a BBC article about it a couple of weeks ago. The cost has been 15 billion dollars.
