This isn't complicated. 2020 is a referendum on Trump.

The job of the Biden campaign is simple, and Trump is helping.

Autoimmune Disease

Autoimmune Disease

OldeDude has it. pb's wife has it. Two of my sisters-in-law have it.

What's causing it? Back in the day, it was virtually unheard of. Now it seems that everyone either has it themselves or knows others who have it.

Got this from [www.google.com] :

The exact cause of autoimmune disorders is unknown. One theory is that some microorganisms (such as bacteria or viruses) or drugs may trigger changes that confuse the immune system. This may happen more often in people who have genes that make them more prone to autoimmune disorders.

Could they be linked to flu shots? They certainly interfere with our natural immune system. Maybe they're confusing it.

If the culprit were flu shots, do you think they'd tell us?

Mine is linked to sarin. It's common with the exposures, as well as brain cancer (12x the risk). The VA refuses to be accountable because "The exact cause of autoimmune disorders is unknown."

OMG. F'ucking sarin. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. sad smiley

If the VA were funded sufficiently, I think their response would be different.

As usual, it's all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

OD where were you exposed to sarin?

I've been noticing a lot of people affected by auto-immune disorders here that are easily confused with allergies. I wonder if some of it has to do with the body's response to particulate matter in air pollution.

K- First tour in Iraq. It was the "baby food factory" that's all but forgotten today. US did a strike on it because it was an active sarin plant, and we came in contact with the aircraft just because they were on the way to our rotarys. We found out later that a couple of thousand sheep/goats and of course the herders, downwind died. Of course, MSM denied that it was sarin. It was only "baby food" that killed the livestock (because that makes sense). MSM bought off on the handmade signs bullsht and Sadaam's propaganda because of the BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome). The guys I crewed with are pretty much fukked. The VA may get around to it in, oh...… 35 years or so like they did agent orange. We'll all be dead by then and it saves money in the military budget.

We also have a lot of drugs, pesticides, etc in our water systems now. We’re prescribing more drugs and they get flushed with the rest of our waste - often into systems that recycle waste water into drinking water (we have laws against that in FL, btw). We have problems with pesticides running off from sugar farming though - straight into Lake Okeechobee, the Everglades and other places we get our water. All of that is surely having an effect on our health - that is the very purpose of drugs and pesticides.

OldeDude: Are you sure that the MSM is to blame?

During and immediately after the first Gulf War, more than 200,000 of 700,000 U.S. troops sent to Iraq and Kuwait in January 1991 were exposed to nerve gas and other chemical agents. Though aware of this, the Department of Defense and CIA launched a campaign of lies and concocted a cover-up that continues today.

A quarter of a century later, the troops nearest the explosions are dying of brain cancer at two to three times the rate of those who were farther away. Others have lung cancer or debilitating chronic diseases, and pain. [...]

Donald Riegle, a Democratic U.S. Senator from Michigan, held hearings about the veterans illnesses in 1993 and 1994. He told me the decision by Reagan and Bush "to secretly help Saddam Hussein build his biological and chemical weapons was a monstrous strategic error that eventually led to the tragedy of Gulf War Syndrome, which killed and disabled so many unprotected American troops." The only people pushing it are the veteran groups. Your wife argued with me about even getting an exposure, then blamed the US military when I proved her wrong. All the rest of the time, saying that WMD was a lie in Iraq.

I think she was talking about the WMD situation in Iraq when the US invaded in 2003.

I don't see how that disproves anything I've said.

First, you're "assuming" sarin was past it's half life, which is wrong. We are still destroying chemical weapons from WWII stockpiles that are nearly as potent as when they were made.

Saadam buried the stockpiles so he 1. could lie to the world about their existence. 2. potentially use them against us if we got in to a protracted war. Sarin is stable if the two sides of it are separated.
Re: Autoimmune Disease

Ponderer nor myself have ever "assumed" anything about sarin. If either of us said anything incorrect about sarin's shelf life or the potency of the sarin in Iraq's stockpiles, it was based on information we heard or read.

That's more than fair. Obviously, we knew what the depot was doing since I was a kid. We actually had the old warning systems from the Cold War that were still tested. I don't have a clue what we were supposed to do if they ever went off. The vast majority of folks haven't even heard of my home town. We also had to be spun up on a lot of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosive (CBRNE) stuff in the military. Again, this stuff isn't well known outside of some specialists. I was trying to get some other stuff done and it came out rude. My apologies.
