But it's MAGA men who are wearing them.

    You wish.

Same thing that always happens with wingnutty merch… you guys band together and buy the product up. Just like when you vote. The NFL is already distancing themselves from Bumpkin and his taliban propaganda. The Chefs are already being pressured to cut him too.

The NFL runs it's business well but their ratings dipped when they kowtowed to Colin Kaepernick's hate-America insanity and they're about to learn that they should have held their peace and let this fade away.

Butker is about to become bigger than Riley Gaines. His jerseys will be all over the place. If he wants to be a Senator after football, he's a lock.

What startles me about this is the left's irresistible yearning to silence speech with which it agrees.

    Freedom, baby!

The woke, white electric limousine lovin progressive universe is teaching America... AGAIN... that it despises the First Amendment.

    Liberty and justice for ALL!

  5. by Curt_Anderson on May 18, 2024 8:05 am
Why do consider critical responses to Butker’s graduation speech somehow an attack on the First Amendment? Isn’t an exchange of opinions what free speech is all about?

  6. by HatetheSwamp on May 18, 2024 9:05 am

It's the calls for Butker to be suspended or cut, to which Indy referred. Certainly. In a pluralistic society people disagree, often vehemently. Absolutely.

Cancel culture is antithetical to life in a pluralistic world.

    It's anti-American, exactly and precisely.

  7. by Indy! on May 18, 2024 9:11 am

Riley Gaines? I had to google her and I still have no idea who he she is. Comical that you still think Kaep hurt the NFL in any way. The league is stronger and more profitable than ever. You're in a very small minority that - as I said - bands together for a week or two on these things, then abandons them as soon as the next (imaginary) transgression against your imaginary god comes along.

  8. by Indy! on May 18, 2024 9:13 am

So far as Bumpkin - if he hurts business, he should pay the price like everyone else in this world. Think of it this way, peebs - if you didn't know this kind of thing was a problem - you would actually spell out the n word everytime you want to use it instead of misspelllng it on purpose like you always do.

  9. by HatetheSwamp on May 18, 2024 9:21 am

What did Butker say that is offensive? Certainly, it's unwoke. But, offensive?

  10. by Curt_Anderson on May 18, 2024 9:29 am
Who said it was “offensive”, HtS?

  11. by HatetheSwamp on May 18, 2024 9:37 am

Read those headlines from Holy Trinity and metaphorical Rachel sources that you posted earlier.

Wokesters are beside themselves. Otherwise, this speech by a NFL player almost no one knew by name to graduates at
an obscure Catholic private college wouldn't matter to anyone.

    “SOLD OUT” —HtS

Is selling out of his jerseys a big deal? I am guessing that NFL doesn’t produce that many jerseys of special teams players. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce jerseys probably outsell Harrison Butker jerseys by 100,000 to one.

I bet a lot of kids that don’t want to open themselves up to mockery by wearing a jersey that says “Butker“.

  13. by HatetheSwamp on May 18, 2024 10:25 am

His is, currently, the top seller.

I know that you choose to get your "information" from preachy progressive SwampMedia sources so, just to let you know, on Fox and Newsmax, Butker dabomb. Who's Donald Trump, eh?

The CLAY AND BUCK talk radio show bores me but I listen to the opening 2 or 3 times a week because that show defines right-wing thinking. Thursday it was all Harrison Butker and, the rabble was being roused.

It seems to me that the sanctimony that allowed the woke to be miffed about Butker has set off bombs on the right.

I can't say that I understand why. But, it has. Trust me.

Here's Clay on his OutKick site. I know. You don't know what that is. But, on t'other side? Huuuuuuuuuge!

Play it at 1.5. This is right-wing Harrison Butker 101. Right down the middle.

    From Vince Langman:

"Tyreek Hill is 30 years old and has 10 children with 5 different women. But the NFL is only triggered by Harrison Butker telling young people to get married and raise children together."

    Says it well.

    Exactly.

Catholic group questions NFL's commitment to 'inclusion' after response to player's religious speech

It's conservatives, libertarians and the GOP that are the homes of openness and inclusion, diversity, acceptance, tolerance and freethinking. Not woke progressives.

    Proof positive.

    Period.

"Tyreek Hill is 30 years old and has 10 children with 5 different women. But the NFL is only triggered by Harrison Butker telling young people to get married and raise children together."

Nope. Has nothing to do with that - it has to do with him telling women that's the path they should ALL take. He said they BELONG in the kitchen and making babies. That is simply not true except to Taliban members - be they Afghani or American.

Catholic group questions NFL's commitment to 'inclusion' after response to player's religious speech

Again - utter bullshit. All the league did was make it clear Bumpkin doesn't speak for the league. He's still a Chef. He can still give whatever teensy, tiny pieces of his mind are left at any graduation ceremony he wants. Again, this is simply the snowflake "Christian" right having another one of their self pity parties because no one wants to hear their backwoods philosophy or their ideas on how everyone else should live. The only part you got right there is you guys are not progressive - you're regressive. Retrograde, third world, Dark Ages "thinkers" who can't even get your own lives right, much everyone else's.

  17. by HatetheSwamp on May 20, 2024 7:41 am

...it has to do with him telling women that's the path they should ALL take.

    But, he didn't say that.

I think that this whole thing is amazing.

You very people who preach tolerance and inclusion are going bonkers over a Roman Catholic man encouraging young Roman Catholic men and women to live according to Roman Catholic values.

    I'm smelling anti-Catholic bigotry.

I ain't a Catholic but I understand that our First Amendment defines ours as a nation in citizens are free to live out their religious values.

    Be American, Indy!.

  18. by Indy! on May 20, 2024 9:15 am

Obviously you did not watch your own video. Bumpkin - and everyone like him - is at the Cro-magnon level of "evolution".

  19. by HatetheSwamp on May 21, 2024 3:20 am

What I love is how woke preachers/preachettes of openness and tolerance go EFFINinsane when someone speaks a truth other than theirs.

If somebody showed up at your house wanting to enslave your wife or daughter forever - would you go get your wife/daughter and bring her out to that person on the basis of "openness" and "tolerance" and say "here ya go"? Or would you go get your shotgun instead? 🤔

  21. by HatetheSwamp on May 25, 2024 4:40 am

This man is now a superhero! Check it out.

Wokesters should just have ignored him and writhed silently in their Christophobia. Now, during Pride Month, they're going to have to hear about it every time he facts, baha.

It's also interesting that players and others have come to Butker's defense. He is a Catholic, speaking to Catholics in a Catholic College graduation. What he put out were Catholic tenets. So of course, we have to listen to the "BS" spewed by the haters of everything. Where does the hatred come from? The same sick, feeble minds of the Nazi takeover of Germany.

I appreciate being able to choose what I want or don't based on the basis of "openness," "tolerance," and "inclusion." Am I Catholic? No. Did he have a point? Sure. Do I have to live according to his "rules?" No. No body said anyone had to. Just because he "said" something, makes no difference in my life. I get to choose to listen (or not), act (or not), look further into the issue (or not), agree with the concept of what he said (or not) on the basis of "openness" and "tolerance." THAT is the concept sheep lose in this process and become mindless.

Of course, to watch indy get "his" panties in a wad over this is fun to watch, especially since I wouldn't have looked any further into the issue if he hadn't. But he did, so that's worth looking into just to mock him if nothing else. I think it's also showing that Christians, as a whole are willing to support each other regardless of the sect of the religion which shows the pendulum is starting to fall back.

  24. by Indy! on May 25, 2024 10:57 am

Actually his teammates have NOT come to the defense of his words. They say things like that's what Bumpkin believes and he has a right to it - but that's not my belief or how I live. Even Travis Swift wouldn't defend his speech at these far right love fests. Bumpkin is a hero only to the other bumpkins like him (IOW - peebs and Old Dud here).

  25. by Indy! on May 25, 2024 11:01 am

Oh, I missed OD's attempted shot at me before - comical that he thinks I'm mad or something. I love it when the Chefs prove they are backwoods retrogrades who don't deserve to be in the NFL.

  26. by oldedude on May 26, 2024 5:23 am
They have. You just missed it on the cartoon channel. Not that it's really news that matters, but neither is any other "news" about sports.

you just underlined my point. You're the perfect Nazi. You don't have the ability to think beyond your miserable, shallow, meaningless, life. As you continue to prove over and over again. Continually wrong, with a total non-comprehension of our government system. Your "beliefs" are not founded in any facts whatsoever, and you continue to argue the points with debunked lies.

  27. by Indy! on May 26, 2024 11:23 am

More insults. Bottom line on you, Odorous - it that's all you have... weak insults and an obsession with pedophilia (please god - if you're up there - protect the women and children in OD's general area).
