The resolution includes two articles, one that accuses Mayorkas of violating immigration laws through a host of Biden administration policies, while a second article combines a host of the GOP’s most-contested arguments, accusing the secretary of falling short of his duties, misleading Congress, and obstructing their investigation.

“These articles lay out a clear, compelling, and irrefutable case for Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ impeachment. He has willfully and systemically refused to comply with immigration laws enacted by Congress. He has breached the public trust by knowingly making false statements to Congress and the American people, and obstructing congressional oversight of his department,” committee Chair Mark Green (R-Tenn.) said in a statement.

Congress has a duty to see that the executive branch implements and enforces the laws we have passed. Yet Secretary Mayorkas has repeatedly refused to do so. His lawless behavior was exactly what the Framers gave us the impeachment power to remedy.”

If you need a Dick and Jane Primer on what this is about, watch the video. "That feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap's" string-pullers have elevated a bunch of first-class bozos to Cabinet positions, but Alejandro Mayorkas is in a class by himself. His condescension and sanctimony are stunning.

Behold!

Isn't Turley one of the enumerated lawyers whose opinions you like to cite?

Turley says there’s no ‘cognizable basis’ for Republicans to impeach Mayorkas
Conservative pundit and legal scholar Jonathan Turley reiterated his belief this week that House Republicans lack sufficient evidence to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

“I don’t think they have established any of those basis for impeachment,” Turley said during an appearance Monday morning on Fox News, where he is also a regular contributor for legal affairs. “The fact is, impeachment is not for being a bad Cabinet member or even a bad person. It is a very narrow standard.”

“I just don’t believe that they have a cognizable basis here for impeachment,” Turley said, noting lawmakers and constitutional experts have long warned about the weaponization of impeachment against government officials for political purposes.

Turley ain't conservative. But, he is pb's Legal Goober #2.

And, pb agrees with Turley. pb's reasonable.

And of course, curt's saying there's nothing to it before anyone knows any evidence at all.
