Consider the Republicans petitioning the Supreme Court to keep COVID measures in place to stop immigrants from entering the US. When did Republicans suddenly become worried about the spread of COVID? The GOP's supposed concern about COVID is especially ridiculous since about three quarters of Americans are vaccinated against COVID (with even higher percentages of seniors vaccinated) and additionally many more Americans have had COVID and developed immunity.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed U.S. border officials to continue expelling migrants under a policy known as Title 42 indefinitely, granting a petition from Republican-led states to prevent the Biden administration from immediately ending the pandemic-related measure.

The high court decided to hear a request from 19 Republican-led states who were seeking to delay the end of Title 42, which was originally set to expire on Dec. 21 because of a lower court order that found the policy to be unlawful.

Given your concerns, I have some terrible news for you: about 70 million international tourists visit America annually. Around 8 million Americans travel abroad every year. Are you not concerned about all the diseases they could be carrying into America? I have no problem in determining that anybody who comes across our border from foreign countries are negative for Covid and a host of other communicable diseases. I would even be in favor of international tourists, returning American tourists and immigrants showing that they have been vaccinated for Covid. Here in Oregon, we get all sorts of anti-vax riffraff from places like Texas and Florida visiting our state.
